I fucked up, but I don't feel all that bad about it.....

ECU's stuff is due tomorrow...

December 17th I requested, so I thought, the last transcript I needed to put in my packet to mail off via fax...

Weeks went by and no transcript....

TODAY I checked my fax verification sheet and noticed that I didn't include the area code when dialing the number...

ECU will NOT review incomplete packets...

On ECU's website it says multiple times in multiple places that ALL transcripts must be received...

The college I need my transcript from needs 24 hour notice before releasing a transcript...

Oh well, 60 bucks for the transcript + 16 buck for transcripts = 76 bucks for nothing.

On the bright side, I don't have to write their essay.

Truth be told, I am not excited or motivated to finish the process for Elon either. To date I haven't given them any money so they may get the boot too!

I was thinking earlier that this may be a good thing. With Pooka switching to childcare that opens at 7 tomorrow, I would not be able to drop her off then drive one and a half hours to ECU and still make it to class on time, assuming class starts at 8 like they do during your first semester at Duke. Elon is an hour away and I'll still be cutting it close with them. I'll call both schools Monday and see what time classes start for their first semester students. This will make me feel a little better or worse about my choice or possible choices.

Wow, that sucks. Don't they have to kind of review the packet to know it's incomplete? That's $76 that could've been in the Freaky Deaky Fund. Let me get my belt.

That's a bit of a drive. It seems if you were to actually attend school there that it might be a better idea to move somewhere closer. It would save some wear & tear on your car and gas money when the inevitable spike occurs. :o(

You couldn't write one master statement and then alter it to fit all the other applications?

as you know, i completely understand what you're going through, esp. the $$ part. that being said, don't let this keep you from completing the Elon application.

I'd be pretty pissed about $76. Shoot that's a bill that could be paid.

I'm sure stuff with work out with the school, you always some how manage to make things happen. Although I don't think I could make that drive on a regular basis. That's too much driving for me. But on the other hand a good school is definitely motivation.

Truly sucks. Hopefully everything will work out in your favor.

FD, Yeah but I wouldn't get an interview so whatever.

I thought about that too and at first I didn't care about the drive but as reality hits me, that is a bit much and I don't want to break my car down THAT fast.

I could have but I don't have a master. My top 2 schools asked me to answer specific question, the other two did not.

Argal, it does but I am trying not to worry about it. It's gone and non refundable so I have to let it go.

BB, I am still on the fence about Elon.

Jameil, it always does

Goddess, it is a bill isn't it? :-(
The top school for my career is 1/2 hour away and my application stuff is sitting on someones desk there right now as we speak! :-)

Southern, it always does in the end
