Post 8 hunnad

and there is no special topic!

Yall are some bondage freaks! *shm*

It's a tad after 7am and I am at work. As of late my 2 big motivations are food and money. Getting the most food for the least amount of money and finding ways to make more money without sacrificing too much of my personal life. Yesterday I sent my resume off to quite a few places. Out of all the positions I put my name in for, I am really interested in helping out a lady with Cerebral Palsy on the weekends. I have a special place in my heart for people with disabilities and working with her would help fine tune skills I will need for my career.

Speaking of career, I called Elon yesterday to figure out when I was going to get my acceptance letter and the lady told me she sent it out the Friday after she called me. Guess USPS lost track of it somehow because the lady had the right address for me. She put another one in the mail and emailed me a copy just for back up. It's a good thing she emailed it too because one of the scholarships I am aiming for is requesting proof I've been accepted to PT school. Unfortunately they are not open today so I can't send it now, but best believe I am on it first thing Monday morning! It was really exciting finally seeing my acceptance in writing. It wasn't so exciting finding out that my enrollment deposit (one G) could not be made by credit card. After about a half an hour of freaking out the problem was worked out. Thank goodness! Yeah, so ummmm, all the gifts I've been getting lately are with Elon now.

I will probably say/type this a million times but I still can't believe this is happening, for real. In about 4 years I'll be on another plane career wise an I'll be paid a lot more money for working the same hours. Granted, PT's don't make a ton of money, but they make more than what I make now! LOL! Just don't believe the light is that much closer for me.

Pooka is doing fine. She really wants to see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, the stage production. It's coming next month and the ticket prices are fair so I plan to cop two tickets after I leave work today assuming the box office will still be open. I heard of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang but had no clue what it was about till I googled it yesterday. Still don't understand why Pooka wants to see it so bad. That must have been a very child appealing commercial she saw! LOL! In looking up ticket prices for the performance I saw that India Arie and KEM were coming to town. I would love to go because that show has chill vibe all over it...but because I seriously need to cut back on non needs right now it was either one ticket to see them which is more expensive than two CCBB tickets. So CCBB it is!

Monday I may be having lunch with my father's wife. She has a doctors appt. up this way. It's a shame that I've spoken/emailed/texted/interacted/communicated with my father's wife more in a few months than I have my blood father in a few years! *sigh*

UNC is my only hope left in this NCAA tournament :-(

Other than that things are pretty regular. My computer at home doesn't seem to like blogger very much hence my urge to blog while I'm here at the state job. Guess I need to actually work huh? :-)

Yeah, in looking it up it seems okay. I'm hoping it's better than I am expecting.

I loved Chitty Chitty Bang Bang the movie with Dick Van Dyke! One of my favorites. But I do like older movies.

You go girl. Will have to call to update via phone one day soon.

Congrats on post numero ocho cien!

I remember that CCBB was a Dick VD movie but I've never watched it. I remember thinking as a kid that it looked boring. lol I hope Miss Pooka has fun though.

Today's lunch with your step-mom should be interesting. Do you think she's reaching out in the hopes of bringing you and your dad closer together?

I know dropping that G was painful but it's for the greater good. :)
