Good Weekend

Saturday I went to class, we have this group project due at the end of the semester. Last week I chose my group cuz we all sat near one another. Bad choice, but I don't know anyone in my class like that so it made it easy to get a group together. We all have our certain parts to cover individually and then we are gonna put it all together and smooth it out. So class comes and near the end of class we have time to get in our groups and deal with the presentation. I am the only one who has started my part. It seems like I am the only one who gave it any thought since we left class last Saturday. I understand people have other classes and children, I do too! This project is worth 30% of our total grade and we can't afford to half step it. Once again I find myself in the control role. Not that it's a bad thing, but I am starting to feel like in every aspect of my life, if I don't grab the mic and step on stage, no one will. Anyways.....

After that chilled and played pet ER. Pooka thought is was a good idea to put nail polish remover in the fish tank. By time we figured out what happened, the fish were throwing a fit...so I grabbed a bowl and transferred the fish. I didn't make it in time so the fish lasted about 3 minutes in the bowl before dying. I tried. Got my hair done. Studied. Chilled sommo'. Oh and the strangest thing happened. KD did another chicks hair and had some money in her pocket. So she asked me if she could buy us some burgers and what not from Mickey D's. When she asked me I thought she was being funny and laughed. She was serious! I looked at her funny and asked her why she was asking me if she could buy some food. "I know how you are about bugeting". I was shocked. Yes, I have been preaching about savings and spending since they moved in, but I don't want her to ask me if she can make a purchase. Her name is not Pooka! Next.....

Sunday I spent the whole day working at the International Festival. Me and my co worker had a great time. Our booth was in a horrible location so we didn't get much traffic but it's all good. The atmostphere was off the chain. I learned so much about different cultures and tasted some great food. It has been awhile since I have been to an international event. I absolutely love experiencing new things and learning about how cultures. It's weird but whenever I do go to an event that represents different countries, it always seem like the Puerto Ricans represent whenever I go to one. Yesterday I would say that 40% of the total crowd had the Puerto Rico flag somewhere on there body. Most had a flag draped on them like a cape. They were partying, having such a good time, and displaying so much togetherness, it kinda made me wanna be Puerto Rican! LOL They had a parade where the different nationalies would walk through and do whatever they do with their native dress on.

Each country was not represented, but between the ones that were there.....the Italians.....the Belizians (I don't know what you call folks from Belize) and of course the Puerto Ricans were some pretty people, especially the men. My co worker and I were having moments. I really think I may have to visit one of those countries in 2006 if what I saw yesterday was an example of what kind of eye candy those countries produce! LOL After that I came home and pretty much crashed. I can't wait to volunteer for the festival next year!

Now I am at work.....BLAH!

I always hated group projects because I always ended up doing all of the work.
