Getting paid once a month SUCKS!!!!!!! I got paid today and by the end of the day I will have gave it all away to people that keep me sheltered, fed, and warm! But I am not going to complain because some people don't have it or the means to keep it.
Coretta S. King, you know, MLK's wife passed on. It's like everyday people in the public eye pass or someone is taking away new life. Not to sound harsh, but I get tired of hurting and feeling bad for the losses. I don't watch the boob tube and I am close to not reading the online papers. I know that society needs to be in the know and tragedy gets people's attention, but can you tell me about something positive PLEASE!!!!!!
Anyways, I heard that song by Keisha Cole where she is talking about kissing. I have come to the conclusion that she can't sing and I really don't know what the hype is about her. I like the part in the chorus where I (think) she is extending the word "found" because it's funny. But I don't see how she got a record deal. I even found myself singing I should have cheated, but she still can't sing.

I wish there were more positive stories in the media. It gets ridiculous sometimes.
say it again sista!
i was gonna do this long post about coretta until i read your entry. you're right. positive news is needed. so i scrapped the long and sordid post about how women in the civil rights movement got the shaft (although you know i'm gonna drop that sometime in the future).
i haven't heard that keisha cole song. that lets me know how far out of the loop i am. i don't listen to the radio anymore.
Luvin - nice of you to come see me. It just gets to be too much for me sometimes. I am aware that this is reality but I wouldn't mind more of a balance.
Nikki - girl don't change NOTHING because of my opinion! LOL Make sure you drop that women and the civil rights movement SOON!!!!
U are not missing nothing...most main stream music now licks dirty butthole...
i hardly ever listen to the radio
(because i share your opinin about mainstream music and the dirty booties lol) or watch television (gets depressing after a while). but I ,unfortunately, have heard the keyshia cole song. That heffa need to quit. I can't hate..she has had some fly songs that catch your ear, but honestly she makes me wanna fight someone when i hear that song. yeah she's extending the word "found"...very badly. She needed to find a note a stick with it cuz that lil trick she called herself doin aggravates me something terrble.
Omar - that song just hurts my feelings!
Viper - thanks for coming to see me and for the links. I am sure Ms. Cole appriciates your purchase.
Getting paid once a month would suck! I’m glad my job does not do that shyt.
I heard about Mrs. King on my way to work this morning. I was sad to hear about the loss of this civil rights icon. I did a tribute to her today on my blog.
She will be missed CSK will be missed!!!
Thanks for hitting me up. You already know I am back to commuter stalking. Had a cutie in my sights today but there were no empty seats in that area. Okay I am so bad for doing that but its fun. Keeps the travel interesting. I am sure I been stalked before so hey its all good.
Xtc - suprised I haven't seen it already!
N4R - I am sure you have been stalked plenty of times! LOL
I agree with you completly. I don't watch tv, I never have. I may watch rescue me and nip tuck in their perspective seasons (one hour of tv per week doesn't really constitute "tv watcher" for me). I hate the local news, or anything on CNN or otherwise.
I don't read the typical paper,I get the highlights of whats going on in the world from the Metro, but that's it. Radio, I won't even go there...
Butyea, I will tell anyone, AMERICAN MEDIA IS BAD FOR YOUR BRAIN! And I'm not just saying that because I'm a bleeding heart liberal. I'm saying it because it's true.
Did you wtach the state of the union address? I saw the highlights on The Daily Show. That is one very confused, stupid man. I dunno how the hell he is running this country (well besides running it into the ground). It's incredible, this is what the American people chose.
We're the ones addicted to oil, though, right? It has nothing to do with him, or his daddy and their big oil company, or Dick Cheney and his Haliburton, or Condy Rice and her big ass oil tanker. Hmph, it's like John Steward said "We're addicted to oil, if you're jonesin', I know a guy..."
