Yesterday was kinda busy for me. I had to get my ducks in order for summer and fall semesters. Of course going to an HBCU things didn't go as smoothly as they should have but the job was accomplished.
At work, one of my coworkers was talking to me in my office and she says "Yeah I heard your new man came to see you the other day..."
"huh"
"your man"
"what man"
"the one that came up here last week"
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW dagnabit! I knew this was gonna happen! I got a rumor going round the office bout me!
Last week LAL came to my job to drop off my cd that he burned of my presentation that was due Saturday. He didn't call me to tell me he was on his way so I could meet him outside. I office is near the front, so as I am sitting at my desk I heard LAL come in and ask Big Chips for me. He comes in, makes the drop off, we talk for all of 30 seconds and he bounces. As soon as I heard him speak to Big Chips I wondered just how long it was gonna take for her to ask me about him. Not ONE minute passed after he walked out the building here comes Big Chips.....
"That's your new man?"
*laughing cuz I knew this was coming, just didn't think it would be that quick*
"nah, that's just my friend"
"well he's cute"
"yeah, he ight"
"you got good taste"
"thank you, his NOT my man"
she gives me this sarcastic look "yeah he's your frrrriend"
"He is just my friend" I get annoyed and you could hear it in my response so she let it go....so I thought. So now she's done told folk that told folk that told folk that some man came to see me! I mean SO WHAT someone came to see me! Is every man that come here for me have to be MY man? Dang! Matter of fact, when Babydaddy was dropping me off at work those few days while my car was in the shop, the second day I came in, Big Chips asked me if that was my boyfriend dropping me off! She is the receptionist and the front of my building is glass so you can see the parking lot from her area. I mean why should she care who I am dealing with? Shoot! Are folks around here just waiting for the new dish on someone so that can spread it around?
I can't stand when folks have my name in their mouth and their info isn't correct! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

why folks always up in the biz??? ain't nothing you can do about it. you know folk are gonna say what they wanna no matter what you do. don't let those folks get you upset. they don't have lives so they gotta be all up in yours.

Honey - LOL who knows? She be braggin' on her nonexisting baller boyfriend all the time so I hope that isn't the case! LOL

Yes girl you know how people are. They love to be all up in your biz.
My sisters love to be all up in mine but I tell them the bare minimum. I don't need them worrying about my biz. I'm grown I can take care of what need to be taken care of you know what I mean?!?!?!?!

Big Chips sounds like a private investigator. I think somebody got a tail on you or Mama has no life at all. You should have a different dude bring you something every week and get her head to spinnin' and tongue to waggin'. I got a few boys in Raleigh that will volunteer.
