Yesterday I picked Pooka up early from daycare. I came in when the kids where sitting at their tables waiting for their snack. Since I wasn't in a rush and it would save me from having to buy her a fast food item or something from the vending machine at school, I waited for Pooka to have and eat her snack. Since Pooka is the new kid on the block, the other little kids didn't know me so soon as I sat down I was bombarded with questions all basically asking me who's momma I was. After that round of interrogation one little girl gave me a compliment on my spongebob shirt. This started a chain reaction of the I like your this and I like your that. Then this one little girl with the biggest bluest eyes said..."I like your purse, my mommy has one just like that, but she is white". It took me a second to decode what she said cuz what she said threw me off, then I replied "Your mommy has a white purse like mine? That's great." To that, the little girl replied. "No, my mommy is white". All I could say is "Okay". I mean, what do you say to that? LOL
Pooka already got her a lil boyfriend. All evening Tuesday and all evening yesterday she's been telling me about Remy. I finally got to see this Remy kid yesterday. He is a beautiful lil boy. One thing that stands out about him is his curly hair, skin tone, and eye color are the same shade of something between tan and milk chocolate. When he gets older he is gonna be something else! So so far if you go by looks alone....Pooka is making some nice selections on friends! LOL
Test went fine. I didn't do as good on the Lab test as I thought I would (85) but whatever.

Lol, Kids always say the darndest things.
Ohhh the LittleLady is making friends already. Lol thats cute.
hehehe@pooka and her boyfriend. sounds like she's got good taste!
it seems like kids are more cognizant of race at an earlier age these days. that's kinda sad.
Free - you came back? YAY! I am glad she is making friends off jump. I can't help but wonder if some of these particular friends are going to be the ones she will grow up with.
Nikki - she get it from her momma! LOL I just wanna see what his daddy look like...*grin*
I didn't even think about the youth and race thing. Your right though they are becoming more and more aware. But look at the way the US is, they can't help but to notice.
Girl, you are going to have your hands full with Pooka! At least she has great taste in men!! LOL
You give the kid a mean look and make them cry...that was uncalled for..
Sure girl I came back. I like it here, I will probably hang around a bit.
Its funny most of my friends I have had since school. Or have known them since school days.
I guess Ms Pooka knows what she likes, huh? LOL
Over the years, I've learned that kids adjust well to new schools and new environments. It's us (big azz grown folks) who have the problems. LOL
lol @ the lil girl. kids say the darndest things. *smh*
That was too funny. What could you say to that?
