I forgot what I was gonna blog about. I actually had a subject! LOL Oh well, it wasn't meant to be.
Mothers day is this weekend and I don't have no change to get my mom something nice. I think I will just do my calls and be done with it. I know I won't get anything cuz that's what I told folks. Many folks are in a bind right now and I'd rather them spend 3 dollars on a part of a gallon of gas than on some card Imma throw away. I do however want my handmade gift from the daycare! LOL
Yesterday my admin sent an email out making the announcement that I was taking Mainhaters job. I guess this was the official announcement. Mostly everyone knew already since they put my job on the net Monday.....DUH! Anyways, I got a lot of thanks and even got congratulatory dancers (my coworkers are nutz). It's weird, I never really wanted the position, I just took it cuz my higher ups called me to take it! Everyone that didn't read the position thought that I was getting more money and more responsiblity, to which I quickly informed them that the only difference now from before is a title change, everything else is pretty much lateral transitioning.
All throughout the day people were coming by calling me "boss" and "chief" being funny. I just want things to continue to be normal, I don't want them to treat me any different. None of us treated Mainhater any different when she was here...at least I didn't! As much as I love attention. I was uncomfortable in the spotlight. Can't really explain it. It's like I always want to be a part of the cast on stage, but never in the leading role......

I was in the car this morning and the first thing I thought about how similar her story was to the chick on Oprah, but she didn't survive! She was trying to tell folks he was gonna kill her!!!! Ugh! I just want to know what is the procedure when someone goes to the police or courthouse telling people that someone is going to hurt them and they need help? I know you can't lock someone up for not doing anything yet, but JEEZ! Something is just not right. How many more people gotta die? Restraining orders aren't the remedy apparently!
