I am posting now cuz I really don't know what to expect at work today. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of shade, ugly looks and attitude so thick you couldn't cut it with the sharpest machete will roam around the office. Let me explain what happened Friday on fast food restaurant terms....
Say I just got the job of regional manager and I used to be the area manager okay...that leaves the spot of area manager open....
Let's say there are about a half dozen restaurant managers that apply and one of those are of outstanding caliber and shown over and over again that they can do the job.
They give the job to a cashier who started a month ago who has people in the same social circle as the president/CEO!
Can we say OMG! I was speechless and when I heard the news! I know that sometimes it's not about what you know, but who you know....but dang! This new perm person hasn't even conquered level ONE at the job? How they gonna put them at level 3? Don't get me wrong, I like this person, but they didn't deserve the job.....
Most of the restaurant managers don't even know yet cuz they haven't made the official word yet! They didn't even get a chance to interview! The only reason the few of us know is because the exec staff pulled the real canidate and told them. I guess they figured it would be smart to have the real canidate find out from them. The cashiers first perm day is today so I guess the official word will go out today...
Oh remember my girl I thought they were trying to fire? Well they are giving cashier her space and putting her back on the register, drive thru at that! She will find that out today...her feelings are gonna be crushed cuz these past 2 weeks she has been busting her behind like never before. I am thankful that she is at the very least still employed with us.....
The person that was supposed to get the job is taking it quite well. After the vent session (it was a few of us, not just this person) the real canidate said they were just gonna chill and watch the cashier now area manager crack under pressure. LOL! Love it!
All I know is I better not be asked to train them!!!!!
I am interested in how this week is gonna go.......

Girl that is a mess. I remember at my last job when my regional manager was always coming to me, the store manager about his job cause he didn't know how to do it. *smh* yep he cracked under pressure and got his butt demoted. Went from having 7 subordinates to none.
That's happened at my job a couple of times. A guy got promoted over me. I had been there 2 years and he had only been there 3 months. I knew his brother-in-law was my boss, so I was already set for whatever happened. About 4 months into the gig he messes up, BIG TIME and gets fired on the spot. Then they offered me the job. At first I was pissed because I got the job by default, but then when I saw the salary increse, I jumped on it. Since then I have been promoted about 3 times, so I let it go. Now, I am the boss so I could care less.
girl, you know you love training! potty taining, job training....training is your middle name :-P
I think that some people don't believe because nothing but bad ever happens to them. But you never know, everyone has different reasons. I don't believe in "God" or "Jesus", but I believe that there MAY be a higher being. I don't put it out of my thoughts, but I don't believe he is necessarily concerned with our well being, you know? I also believe in luck :-)

WTF?!?!?! You have got to be kidding and who is the damn work gonna get dumped on when that person shows that they don't know what the hell they are do? That's messed!
Drama at work....I know all about it!
UGH. please get ready. you know you will be asked to train.
