Okay why is my supervisor and admin fighting for me to get a raise??????? Why did I not just find out till a few minutes ago?????? Why I can't tell nobody????? Why oh why do I wanna scream????
See what had happened was yesterday my admin sent me an email to revise my job description right. I was under the impression that everyone that had a position change recently had to review and revise their descriptions so I did it. Then my supervisor *who is still out with a broken bone* emailed me to print out some stuff and give them to my admin ASAP. I asked the guy who got my position if he started on his job description yet since he is brand new so he'd have to do his from scratch versus me who can take my old one and tweek it here and there. He didn't know what I was talking about. That made me ask myself what they were up too. Of course I was being negative and thought they were prepping me for a set up. I mean the first class of the new semester started today so starting today I will have slightly less than my 40hours. They had approved me to do it but maybe they changed there minds.
So anyways...I printed off samples of some of the stuff I do and submitted it to my admin like I was requested to. I couldn't help myself to ask if anything negative was gonna to happen to me in the future. That's when my admin told me what the deal was! I must have gave her the floored look cuz she was like "oh I didn't tell you, I'm sorry"! At this point my mind is thinking stuff like...did I ask for a raise? does it matter? did I really just hear that? am I awake? have I been on the go so much that I asked for one and forgot? get out of here! she's playing with my emotions!
All that went through my head in milliseconds flat and all I could say was "uhhh Thanks". I don't know if the people who they need to deal with will grant the raise, but it's really nice that they are requesting one on my behalf! Keep yah fingers crossed and pray for me! WOW!
"Oh I didn't tell you, I'm sorry! I thought I told you!" What in the world??????? I mean really!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Echo, getting a singled out raise in the gov't is unheard of unless your a state elected position. I know I do good work, but I could always work harder...like now, I am blogging! LOL Thanks for the prayers.
MsNew - I have a fear of being unemployed and not being able to provide for myself and daughter...so when ever I am singled out on the job my first thought is I am about to lose it...
I hope you get the raise and you know that you got a prayin man in ya corner. keep up whatever work you are doing that made them ask for a raise on your behalf...
