Not that it would have truly mattered because I have already made my choice...My hair is a hit! I got a lot of compliments on the new look and that sits very well with me. I did get a few folks that didn't say anything and that is cool cues if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say nothing. The only problem I had was trying to explain to my 70 something year old coworker what dreads/locs/dreadlocs are. You'd think she'd know who Bob Marley was but she kept with the cricket sounding stare, so I just gave up and if I am still here in a year and some change I'll go up to her and show her.
Speaking of being here on the job, our gov is really close to signing a bill to raise state employees pay by 5 point something% and teachers by 8%! That is freakin' awesome! So that means I have the potential to have 2 raises very close to one another if not at the same time! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO I know it may not happen but I am trying to stay positive! And for the record, I know 5 and 8 percents are not a lot, but it is sure better than no raise at all or even worse...getting laid off!!!
Just typing that gave me a Thank you God moment...I have to constantly count my blessings...

Aw, man, I so agree. I am not religious or anything like that, but I always try to remember how good my life is. If I weren't running late life would be even better!

a 5% raise is more than most people get in a year. i love the cricket chirping. i have people straight stare then start asking questions. its hilarious.
