Debate

Full time mother, full time employee, part time student.....part time employee maybe??? Do you have time to add a part time job to the list? Remember what happened last time you did this? You spent more than half the part time money paying the sitter and you were highly stressed out! Do you want to go there again?

But it's only temporary. You can find a cheap sitter, you just have to look harder. It's just to help get you back on top faster. God doesn't help those that don't help themselves and neither do folk. If they see that you not making your best effort to succeed they are not going to do the work for you. Once you get back on track, quit! You can do this!

You can always borrow money from yourself.

But that would defeat the purpose, there are fees involved and I would have to pay myself back.

You can tap into illegal money.

Are you serious? You definitely don't need to go that route.

It brought your books this summer!

Point. But I want to exhaust other avenues first.

You need to go ahead and get this job as a paper carrier. You got a dependable car and Pooka can sleep in the back. You don't sleep in the morning now as is so what's the problem?

It's a seven day a week commitment and once classes start next week I have to have some kind of study time. Physics isn't my strongest suit so I know I will need some time to concentrate if I want to bust that A. Then add that doing routes in the morning puts wear and tear on the van. So the company pretty much pays you for your gas and the wear. That's not making extra money.

Okay what about Pooka's money?

Ummmm not.an.option.period! You remember the promise?

Yep...

So what are you gonna do?

Not sure, but a choice needs to be made very soon.

I agree totally agree with praying. The hard part about that is waiting and then listening. Cause alot times the answer he gives is not the one we want to hear.

I have read your comments on Student Loans and how you can't stand it when people misuse the funds other than for school, but I suggest a student loan.

I was one of those that used my loan for rent and yes, to some it might be misuse but it allowed me one less thing to worry about while concentrating on my studies. So in a way, it did contribute to my schooling.

Really, it's all in how you choose to look at it. The resources are there for you why struggle unnecessarily?

I could see if you were getting the student loan and not even going to class. That's not the case. You are busting your butt, and the way I see it is that that money is there to make your schooling situation a little easier. And having PEACE OF MIND regarding your financial situation will allow you to relax and be an even better student!

yikes yikes!

get ya pray on definitely, then keep thinking through this. there's an answer in there somewhere. chelle's idea about the student loan sounds like a good one so i'll co-sign on that. LOL

NewNew, I want to say I read that one already, but I'll hit it up again later. I still haven't finished your latest entry yet! LOL

Chelle, I thought about that, but I already signed my award letter for the fall so it's too late for this round. I will keep that in mind for the spring session though.

Nikki, I will continue to do all those things. I know it will work out but I don't like the not knowing how part.

@chelle...Amen Chelle..."the answer he gives us is not the one we want to hear"

Things will work out fine...I think the paper route is a bit much, but you'll have to be the judge of that one.

I didn't finish reading it, lol, that one IS kinda long. So it's more of a break/lunch time read than the quick reads before work type entry! I didn't go past the choice to join the navy part! tee hee hee

Luv, I agree but I am considering all my options at the moment.

Don't have any clue on your financial situation so I'll reserve comment on it.

Is the money from a part-time job going to make a significant and positive difference? You have to consider the fact that you'll have less quality time with Pooka, less time to study, more stress, and after paying for a sitter only about half of what's leftover from the part-time job money to accomplish whatever it is you need done.

Hopefully, you get the answers you seek soon.

Surfer dude,

I have thought about all the things you mentioned and those are indeed negatives. 'Specially the time spent with my child.

I am considering all things.

wow. You know me, I'm not much for prayer, but if it helps!

how about subsidized daycare? I know that's maybe not the route you wanna take... but it may help? There are after school programs for kids (in most schools) that will take them until 5 or 6 and they can play sports, socialize, etc...

Prayer definitely helps me cope Mel.

I have been on the child care voucher list forEVER!

Her daycare bill will go down a lot after she starts going to school on the regular (Sept. 5th) so their will be some relief soon.
