Since I left work yesterday I have been in a good mood. None of my little situations have changed, nothing extra good has happened outside of the woke up with working body parts type stuff. I just feel good. When I jumped in the van to go get Pooka, my ABS light came and stayed on and I got some squealing going on in the brake area. I laughed. I hope this isn't a sign of me losing my mind.
Very soon a dress code will be implemented on the job. Since this new project started, we have had folks from outside our department in and out. I think that's the reason for the code. I just pray when the memo goes out that we can still wear jeans and a tee shirt. If not, I'll be ill for a second but I'll get over it. The other thing I wonder about is if they mention anything about my head wraps and scarves. I know for a fact that they can't make me take it off if it's a religious type thing, but my stuff isn't tied to religion. My hair is in transition and it looks better wrapped up for professional reasons. Speaking of my hair, I got some budding going on in the kitchen area! I am so excited! They poke out through my scarf so I sit and play with them all day, which I know I shouldn't. I wish the rest of my head would go head and lock, but it's all about patience. UGH! Since it's been hot and I've been sweaty I think I will wash and retwist my hair again. My arms are not looking forward to it.
Other than my hair I am going to clean up my place. It doesn't look like a woman stays here. It's mostly clothes. Clothes piled over here on flo' that still need to be washed, clothes on the couch that need to be folded, then folded clothes in my rooms that need to be put away! LOL I got clothes in every stage of the game. After that imma hit the dishes then run the vacuum. I will be done once I complete that and by typing it out it seems like I don't have that much to do (for some folks) but it hurts my feelings to see my place like this and nobody is to blame but me. Pooka actually has her room together! LOL Mom's is slipping!
So that is how I am spending my weekend before class starts!

I love dress down day at work..its the only day I feel like myself...lol
Thanks for the well wishing for the part..I am anxiously waiting to hear.
Your very welcomed mister man, my fingers are still crossed 4 yah.
You vacuum errydai? Wow! LOL You must be one of those folks that think the carpet isn't clean unless you see the lines...no wait you have a toddler...I take that back...vacuum on!
Put some brake fluid in the van
DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I feel exceedingly brilliant right about now! ROFL
Today is my day off and I definately need to clean this place. I still have stuff in boxes! When I get in from work, I start stripping from the door. My shoes and bra are the first thing off! My bra will usually make it to the dirty clothes eventually but I have a collection of shoes at the door.
I need to clean up this weekend too. Hopefully it won't be too muggy. Other than that I'll probably go see a movie and maybe catch up on some DVDs I still haven't watched yet.
I think most of us start taking stuff off once we cross the threshold! LOL
You still got stuff in boxes? Need me to swing through and help? I got me a decent ride (with brake fluid filled) now. LOL
Muggy? You doing yard work? Sorry 4 yah! One day Imma watch my DVD's. I don't have many but the few I have I haven't seen all the way through. LOL
I have about a dozen dvds I haven't gotten around to watching yet. I honestly don't have any reason for not watching them yet besides not being in the mood I guess.
I am willing to bet that none of those dozen are por.n! LOL
i've also laughed at things that should alarm me or at the very least make ne nervous. i think it's a sign of stress.
at my job, the dress code is business casual, with ppl opting to be more casual than business and vice versa. i tend to be more business, though i need to revamp my style so that it's also kinda funky.
yeah, for the budding. i don't even have locs, but i know it's quite a journey. don't get hand in hair disease! you want those babies to be strong and healthy.
as for cleaning, i need to do a little bit of that. i also need to look for furniture! lol...
have a good weekend!
Can you come over and clean up my house? I'll bet you mine looks worst than yours. My feelings are also hurt that my house looks like that, but i just can not find the energy to clean up like I should
TAHT'S exactly what a womans hous elooks like! Clothes all over the place, etc... I have to bleach and re-dye my hair, too, which is like a 3 hour long hassle... ugh... I am SO not looking forward to growing up and having to wear certain things...
Yea, I vacuum everyday, too! You have to or else the floor looks like hell...
BB, It's very hard not to twist your hair once your babies start! Very very very hard! LOL Good luck on that furniture.
Trina, I have been up 4 3 hours and still haven't started anything yet, so I feel you! LOL
Mel, I would have never guessed it took 3 hours to dye your hair. But then again your colors are bright and strong so you may let your hair marinate longer to get that effect. I can't get with the vacuumin' everyday but I understand why people with children would.
