Saturday yet?

I missed the part in the driving handbook where it says that rain means speed up. What chapter does it say the harder it rains the faster you should go? Where is the part where it says it's a good idea to cut people off and ride the bumper of the 18 wheeler in front of you? I mean everyone runs late every now and again, but if you get into an accident, you REALLY will be late. Late, hurt, or dead!

I didn't want to end the love affair that was going on this morning with my couch. It just felt sooooo good wrapped up in my blanket with my head nuzzled into the back of the couch like it was some man's chest (I take what I can get). I heard the alarm clock go off and I heard the couch tell me to ignore it.

But I gotta get up...

Just 15 more minutes...

I have to fix lunch for today...

Please just 15 more minutes you don't HAVE to get up right now, you got up and out the door in no time yesterday...

Yeah your right...

I got up and set the clock to go off 15 minutes later, then got back into the arms of my couch and blanket. Mmmmmmmm it was still as warm as it was when I got up. Why couldn't it be Saturday morning?

I have officially decided to delay my DC trip a week. Party Girl had tickets to go see the Lion King this weekend. Since her mom funeral is this Saturday, she isn't going. She gave the tickets to LadyKat so she can take her crew, but LadyKat along with some of the other members of our crew are going up to NY. So that left 4 tickets to the Lion King this Saturday. I was offered 2 and took them. The good thing is that I get to take Pooka to the theater to see a play I really wanted to see. The bad thing is what happened in order for me to get tickets.

What's even worse is the other 2 tickets were offered to an ex-friend of mine. She was one of my girls back in the day who thought it was a good idea to have adult fun with Babydaddy, so naturally she was one of the people I cut out my life. Her and LadyKat are still cool and I have seen her a few times since I cut her out. LadyKat would have get togethers every now and again and invite the both of us. I am civil with her. I treat her now just like I would treat anybody else that I don't consider a friend. I just hate that if she takes the other 2 tickets I will be near her for 3 hours and she is going to want to talk to me. I know it. Unlike in a party type environment, I can't walk around and socialize with other folks. *sigh*

I am thinking that I am going to take Pooka to the fair on Sunday. I have wrapped my head around the idea that going one on one with her would be great because I can do whatever I want to do when I want to do it and only have to buy enough ride tickets for Pooka to ride a couple of rides and can leave! Sweet!

More bad news...for me...My internet provider is screwing up. Last night while I was checking my email, my screen told me to screw myself. I tried opening up new windows and they all couldn't be displayed. Okay.... *log off, log on* Nothing...*reboot* now I can't even connect...GREAT! Every blue moon my providers network/server/whatever will act a fool and we can get on the net. So after some time goes by I am going to call and tell them to get their machines right! LOL Granted I pay darn near nothing for my dial up, but still I pay money for my dial up and I expect it to work when I want to use it dag nabbit! Just messing up my internet habits!

evidently folk here in the atl have read that phantom chapter in the driving handbook cuz E'RYbody was speeding this morning and it was raining. rain on a road scares me.

EWW@ole girl and the tickets. don't you HATE having to make small talk? ESPECIALLY when the person is someone you really don't want to talk to? can you ignore her? i'm sure she'd understand. lol

and i'm soooooo feeling you on the couch thing. i lay in my warm bed this morning literally arguing with myself, trying to come up with reasons why i could call in for a couple of hours. that bed felt SO GOOD...girl it was like morning sex almost.

Nikki girlllll it scares me too. It those vehicles get to hydroplaning out of control it would be a mess! But you can't tell them nothing, cuz they probably feel like they are the experts when it comes to driving! UGH!

As far as the play, I most likely won't be able to ignore her the entire time. I'm just sorta kinda hoping that she won't be able to accept the tickets for whatever reason and I don't have to see her at all.

Morning sex...ahhhhhhhhhhhh I remember what morning sex was like...excuse me while I wallow in my memories from way way way way way way way back! LOL

I would hate to be that close to someone that I dislike for even a short period of time.

The colder it gets, the less I want to get up in the morning. That's the only hard thing about working from home. You have to be disciplined because they expect you to be working at all times... while your bed and couch are taunting you.

Luvin...I am hoping that she can't accept the tickets or she brings someone with her thats so attention hungry she has no time to chit chat with me...

I soooo don't have the power to work from home! I know I always say that I wish I could work from home, but I dunno...Esp. on days like this where it's cold and rainy! Mannnnnnnnnnn whatever! You get my props!

I learned to drive in bad weather so driving in rain doesn't usually bother me much. People do seem to drive even worse during bad weather. I still haven't figure out why they do that.

There's no rule saying you have to talk to her. Besides, I thought it was generally considered rude to be carrying on conversations at a performance.

i hear u about the speeding in the rain.. but there are also the drives that drive slow as hell in the rain... do the speed limit.. how about that? nothing more, nothing less..

for the play.. put pooka b/w the 2 of ya'll and she wont feel compelled to talk to u.. and if she does during the play.. just politely state that ur into the play & leave you the hell alone :-)

I know what you mean about the driving I was cracking up when I began to read the first part. Ppl drive like nuts when it is raining.

Damn you gotta take the good with the bad. (the tickets)

I can so relate to that couch talk I have that conversation everyday.

Call and get ignorant on them they will give you a credit and it will be all good. lol

WHERE IS MY RESPONSE COMMENT!!! UGH maybe I didn't hit publish?

again...

BB, good thing you went to work. Sounds like all you guys live in GA.

Pam, throw a few dollars in would yah? LOL

FD, it is rude to do that. But there is intermission and pre show and all that stuff. It would be weird for me to see her and her nor I say anything or at least give a brotha nod.

TTD, doing the speed limit is too much like right during not so hot conditions. LOL

J, my service is working again. No "ethnic" acting needed. Guess the folks who called ahead of me got it right.

Ladynay said...

Honey, I will work my way through it if I gotta fake smile it the whole time. LOL

My couch is ancient and well worn, but it's so comfy. Maybe that is why it's so comfy *shrug* The bed I brought last year sucks so I sleep on my couch a lot.
