Post 2/14

So I actually ended up taking my Pooka to the movies last night. She was beside herself! LOL During the drive she kept asking where we were going since we were going a route that we don't travel that often. I kept saying it's a surprise. So when we turned into the theater she was excited. YAY! I loved her reaction! It seemed that many moms (didn't see any dad's alone w/kids) decided to take the youngin's out to the movies, real cute stuff. Unfortunately the couples were out in numbers too! This one lady had on a jean mini skirt, no hosiery, and high heels! I couldn't tell what kind of top cuz she had a jacket on but ummmmmm it was like 20 something degrees last night! I know you trying to be cute for your man and it was Valentines Day so maybe a little movie nookie was in the plans, but you can be sexy in pants!!!! I mean really!

Something I saw that I thought was nice was a lot of the men standing in line telling their dates to go inside the theater while they stood in line for the tickets. AWWWWWWWWW :-) The movie itself was really cute. Throughout the movie there are these slugs that appear and they are usually singing. Man for some reason they just were the funniest thing to me! So all in all the movie was good. Gave me and the kid a few good laugh out loud moments. After the movie while walking to the van she asked me if we were going to see Open Season tomorrow! LOL If I didn't have plans to handle some school work tonight I may have considered it. 3 bucks for a night out to the movies for 2 isn't a bad deal! Depending on her school work I may take her to see it this weekend.

Speaking of school, she racked up on candy yesterday (YAY) but I didn't get my handmade card (BOO). So we got a tad bit more candy to negotiate in the house :-) I don't need the candy since the scale is still going the wrong way, but it was nice to have some extra yummies around the house. Now if I could just figure out a way to make the girl scout cookies that I pre ordered calorie free by time they get to me in about a week or so I'll be straight! LOL

Other than that my body is telling me it's tired. I honestly believe it is the extra weight I put on. It's weird, it's like when I'm awake I am sleep and when I am sleep I am awake. Like a contant state of daydream or something. I even did that phone thing again where I go to sleep but my mind still goes on like I am on the phone. :-( I am losing it. I am kinda feeling like those people who you see on the discovery channel about to get gastric bypass and they are saying that once upon a time they were fine then it got out of control then just got more and more out of control. I think I am starting to lose control. But that is another post in itself. I don't feel like going into that right now.

Yesterday while driving back to work from class I guess I was daydreaming about something and all off a sudden I was riding on those rumble strips on the side the hwy. They did their job cuz soon as my tires hit them I snapped out of where ever I was. Then on the way to get Pooka I was stopped at a stop light. I leaned my head to the left and I closed my eyes. I knew the light was a long one so I closed them then opened them...car in front of me still there...close/open...car still there...close/open...car's like 50 feet in front of me! There were cars behind me so I don't know why nobody hit their horn. LOL I know I would have. Again I gotta figure something out. I think I am going to buy me a day planner and schedule my life out for awhile, maybe get myself on track in many areas of my life. Drifting off behind the wheel of a car that's on isn't a good look.

I am glad pooka enjoyed it.

Maybe you need a break. Like I night off. Just to sleep and relax. Your body could be telling you need a break.

DNT, me too! She's been asking about the movies for the longest so she was overdue :-)

I usually use Saturday, Sunday, or both as a sorta me day. I pretty much lounge all day long on those days. I don't know what else to do.

I got my Girl Scout cookies yesterday!

Have you tried taking vitamins to boost your energy up?

hmmm... that falling asleep thing is not a good look. you may want to see a doctor because those sound like symptoms of sleep apnea.

i saw my neighbor and his girl leaving to go out last night and it was sooo cute. when i pulled into the parking lot, he was closing her door for her. nevermind that i've never seen him open the door for her before! oh, Valentine's Day...

hey i remember homegril asking you for money too... weird that it was a year ago already... seems not so long ago...

I know how you feel, I drift off to sleep all the time. It's gotten really bad... much worse in the past few weeks. Try shots of espresso :-)

really bad idea. gotta keep pooka safe! what movie was it? i hate when people don't wear anything on their legs in the winter. i'm wary of wearing skirts at all here. that'd be the day the wind chills were below 0 again. oh yeah.. like today!! %^&*(!@ i love that you love her handmade cards. so adorable and mommy of you.

Dang already Southern? I want mine!LOL No, I have not considered vitamins but thought about energy drinks. I may have to look into that.

BB, I am not to the see the doctor point in my mind, but if it gets worse I might. Gold star for your neighbor adding the charm last night. :-)

Mel, yeah time flies don't it? I gotta be in the mood for coffee type drinks. I may try if the energy drinks don't help.

J, your right. We saw Flushed Away and I don't do skirts often even when it's warm. I like the thought behind things plus when she gives it to me she is so proud of her work you just can't help but to love it! :-D

Leave energy drinks alone. Especially, if you plan to drink them on the regular. That stuff can mess you up in the long run.

Having the jaws of life pry you out of a mangled vehicle isn't a good look. You should definitely look into that.

It wouldn't be for the long haul Freaky. Just to help get me out of whatever this is.

No, that's not a good look. There were 2 accidents on the news this morning about people falling asleep. The lady died and the guy lived. The guy ran into a lake or something and suffered hyperthermia.

I'm glad that you spend real time with your daughter. She will always love you for it.

As far as falling asleep, don't do energy drinks. They get you all energized and then you lose all of your energy an hour later. I suggest a multi-vitamin and exercise.

Spending 1 on 1 time is important to folks esp. kids. I hope she'll always love me.:-)

I will only buy 2 or 3 if any. I hear your warning with everyone elses.
