Monday again :-(

Well here we go again, another work week. I am looking forward to Friday already.

What was my weekend like? Lets go back real quick...

Friday was the circus. Before we got there we stopped at the golden arches by the location to put some food in out bellies and kill time. While standing in line I keep hearing a woman call my name. When I finally tracked the voice down with my eyes I saw a lady I went to church with back in the day. He husband is the pastors son. She was there with her family also killing time and feeding the kids pre-circus. For some reason I really wasn't feeling all that social so I gave her that obviously fake conversation and she got the hint. I felt kinda bad cuz they are sweet people and I haven't seen them in years, but I really didn't feel like being social.

We eat and head to the circus. There was no drama with the tickets or anything and the seat were better than I thought they were. There is like 6 rows of box seats then we were on the first row of regular seats. This was really cool cuz there was endless leg room. So the circus starts up and the first act is from Trinidad/Tobago and I have to admit, Pam was right, it was kinda sexy to be in a children's circus. They definitely got their gyrate on. Circus goes on and it's intermission time. Pooka and I didn't have to use the restroom so we just stayed in our seats and looked around. As I looked around I saw Model, Bossman, and their son chilling quite cozy! Again, I wasn't feeling social so I didn't bother to get up and say hello nor look long enough to make eye contact and wave. I wonder if they are still separated? Hmmmmmm Sure didn't look like it.

During one part of the circus they get some volunteers to do a soul train line. They had 6 ladies and 6 gents do their thing. The last couple to go down the line consisted of this nice looking bald brotha and a slim sista with this brownish/blonde curly mop weave going on. It looked nice on her and with her outfit. So they go down the line and they start doing that dance where you pump your butt and your elbows are out vertically and you pump your fist forward and backwards. I can't think of what the name of the dance is right now but that is what they were doing. They get closer to one another and the lady gets cute and goes down with hers and dude accidentally knocks her wig off! OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH MYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY GOODNESSSSSSSSSSS! I was so shocked my mouth dropped and I covered my mouth! Of course the tent goes up in laughter. I couldn't even laugh. She ran off to the side and a lady covered her as she put her hair back on and she was bold enough to stand back in the line. Toni Tone (a comedian) was the ring master so of course he pounce on the situation and was cracking jokes which was wrong of him. But I will admit, when he hit that southwest joint "need to get away?" I almost laughed. I could see her wiping her tears and I felt so bad for her. The show was sold out so she had a lot of people witness that moment in time.

The only other non planned event that went down was towards the end when the elephants came out. Let me just say, if someone tells me I smell like an elephant I am gonna cut them! UGH! So anyways, there are 3 elephants out and doing their routine. There was one elephant that was going slower than the others and my section was going to get a good view of why he wasn't moving on cue. The slow elephants butt was towards my section and all off a sudden he started dropping bombs!!!! The only thing worse than smelling an elephant is smelling elephant waste! The people in the box seats jumped up and was standing in the aisle where Pooka and I were. The people did a pretty good job getting the waste up fast but the stench stayed too long for me! UGH!

Pooka got her souvenir the show ended she is sleep very soon after getting in the van.

Saturday I spent the day on campus watching 15 years old and under girls play volleyball. At first I didn't know how old the girls were and when I found out all I could think about was that most of these girls where serious jail bait for some men out there. A good bit of them were taller than me! LOL I couldn't believe it! All was going pretty good till this one girl who is a part of the same organization I'm in came by to help. Long story short her karma was off and I found myself not really liking her spirit very early on and that is not like me. She had this air about her that she was better than everybody and everything. She even thought she was doing me a favor and schooled me on the ways of volleyball since she played for seven years. Mind you I used to play back in highschool so I have a pretty good grasp of volleyball but I let her school me. Even if I didn't play, I had been sitting and watching game after game after game for the past 6 or so hours b4 she showed up so you'd think I'd catch on to what was going on after awhile! UGH! I wasn't the only person to get irked by her unfortunately. Finally we got to the last game for the championship and we got to start breaking stuff down. Now for some reason I felt the need to be super woman and tote a lot of stuff at one time. This way I wouldn't have to make so many trips and we'd all be done quicker. I paid for it.

Most of the day Sunday was spent on my back trying to find ways to stay comfortable on my heating pad. My back was hurting so bad every little movement was painful. It eventually subsided enough for me to go out to Whole Foods and pick up a few items. Now I knew way before walking into the store that natural and organic foods cost more and I was ready to pay an extra dollar or 2 over what I normally paid for stuff. But there was ONE item that was simply ridiculous...grapes! South African, seedless, organic grapes...$5.99 a pound! FIVE DOLLARS AND NINETY NINE CENT A POUND!!!!! Of course my daughter being a grape nut (no pun intended) she wanted a bag. The only reason she got those daggone grapes was because she had her own money to buy them! Momma don't pay no more than 99 cent a pound for some seedless grapes! Fuggit dat! On a better note I brought 2 slices of pizza and some mango sorbet that was absolutely delish! I also brought 2 bunches of collards that turned out yummy! It was my best pot yet, I wish I would have brought more but at $2.50 a bundle it wasn't happening.

While I was waiting for my pizza I saw this brotha with dreads so nice you wanted to touch 'em. He was looking around the buffet type bar and I just admired his hair. Very soon after his lady walked up and she had her little natural fro' going and in my head I was telling myself what a beautiful couple they were. It was cute and made me smile to see them together for some reason.

I got home, fixed dinner and spent most the day back on my back because it started hurting again:-(. I did manage to wash some dishes and get 1/4th of my clothes washed. So I didn't do all my housework but I did manage to do something.

I had a tear fall in honor of the wig. That is so embarrassing.

I am glad you enjoyed the circus.

Whole foods (thats my spot)I love the mango sorbet and I am also I fan of the juice bar. I know I could buy my own juicer and I will but right now theirs will have to do. I also get a wheat grass shot twice a week.

this week will go by fast.

BB, I really felt bad for the woman, but I bet she'll secure it better the next time she wears it!

I keep my fingers crossed on the week going by!

DNT, girrrrrrrrrrrrrrl it was something! She won't forget Friday night for a long time.

I wished I brought 2 things of the sorbet and I didn't go to the juice bar. Maybe next time. The wheat grass shot sounds....ummmm...ehhhhh....interesting. I may leave the shots alone. LOL

Lol @ being social.
Things would be so much easier if we had t-shirts with our mood of the day written on'em.
Some people can pick up the hint, but SOME JUST CANT and will try to cheer you up when their presence is the reason why you're not smiling lol

Elephants r a mess... litteraly

And organic/natural food, i found a solution by getting my meat and some of my vegetables straight from the farm. i go there every other saturday with my nephews. They love it, and i get some fresh air and get to relax a bit.
Thk god there r no elephants on farms lol

Life would be easier if we had some indicators on how folks felt. The lady from church caught on quick thank goodness!

St8 from the farm huh? I haven't got it like that since I lived in the booney part of NC! LOL
