Kumquats are tastey!

Like a well showered man.... LOL I am almost 100% certain that that has never been a title of mine! Let's recap the weekend:

Friday, I had another partially emotional day. I forgot to go to class Friday and didn't realize it till class was over. Everything happens for a reason so whatever I missed I was supposed to miss. I just hope I don't walk up on a test this morning. Had the urge to go see Happy Feet at the $1.50 but I ran into Puerto Rico (who's FINALLY getting a divorce YAYYYYYYYYYY!) and by time we were done catching up (with her life) I wasn't as inspired to go. I ran it by Pooka and she told me that she seen it already, which I knew already, so that told me to go head and get comfortable at the house.

Saturday, for the first time in a long time I didn't get out the bed for real until like 4pm. I was up all morning and got up at my usual time. I just got back in the bed after everything. I read my chapters for my Ex. Phys. test tonight then thought I'd make good on my post Friday and call folks. Just about everyone in my cell phone got a call. Problem was that I got many voicemails and the people I did get were in the middle of something so I made the offer for them to call me back or they told me they'd get back to me. It's early Monday morning and guess how many called me back? Does it hurt my feelings? It did a lot Saturday night/Sunday morning, but whatever, I did my part. Oh wait, a telemarketer who sounded a lot like Therapist called me from an NC number. Being that he doesn't live in NC I was thinking he was up this way or something. The convo went like a normal friend to friend convo then he burst out with this spill about donating to the police thing, the one where you get the decal. I was mad. How you gonna have Tyrone call me up to try and to get me to give up some money? I think I blogged about this before! You not my friend so stop acting like it! When I told him I wasn't interested he went into his rejection spill and asked if a lesser amount was okay. I tell him no thank you with no kind of attitude or anything and normal telemarketers will say something along the lines of "okay thank you for your time". Does Tyrone do that? No, he just hangs up! UGH! Whatever

As I went through my cell I noticed that I had a few numbers of people that I didn't know. I am just looking at the phone like "who is so and so" I scan through my mental rolodex and if who it was didn't come back to memory the number got deleted. I added a few numbers to replace them.

Pooka and I went back to Whole Foods and picked out some more stuff. I have figured out the the 365 brand is like the store brand so it tends to be the slightly cheaper stuff. I can dig it! LOL I didn't really notice it till I opened my fridge after I put everything away and saw the 365 logo everywhere! :-) The day was gorgeous so I decided to take Pooka to the park. This time it was the Asian persuasion talking over the park. It was cool though, there was no drama. I did see an Asian woman walking around with a curly blonde very white looking girl that referenced the woman as mommy. It didn't look quite right but only because I don't see that often. I watched Pooka do her thing and we brought it back to the house. We cleaned up and pretty much was on chill.

Sunday I did most of the cleaning, grilled my last few pieces of fish, and found my credit card. The card was in my purse like it was supposed to be, just in another compartment! I swore I took everything out my purse when I first started looking for it but I guess I didn't. The feeling not to panic came over me when I realized it was gone and somehow I knew it wasn't stolen despite my quick glace at my account online to make sure. So I may buy some more untreated meat like I planned to this weekend along with some personal stuff.

I think my friend and I had the convo I been kinda wanted to have and I PUNKED OUT! He said something that could have been taking 2 ways. I just laid there, looking neutral, internal convo going 100mph, and the response that finally came out indicated that I took it the other way *bash head against wall here*. I don't know if he knows if I got what he meant or he really thinks I took it the other way. He just laid there, neutral, quiet, his internal convo going probably as fast as mine, and just went with what I said. AGHHHHHHHHH Why the heck did I do that? I dunno! The night ended nice regardless.

Oh yeah, as far as the title of my post. This weekend I brought some kumquats. I had heard of them before but never knew what they were or what they looked like. So of course when I saw them at the grocery store I had to pick some up. According to the package and the internet you can eat them as is. They look and taste like really small oval oranges. The very first one I tried was really sweet so I was like "oh yeah I can work with this" but like oranges, some are sweet and some are not so sweet. I also learned that there are many many many types of granola. I wanted to pick some up cuz I have grown to like the parfaits at the arches and figured I'd come out cheaper if I brought the stuff in the store and had as much as I wanted when I wanted and didn't have to leave home. I get to the granola aisle and was just stunned! LOL I wasn't supposed to have that many options! So yeah I am learning more about more about food going to Whole foods, now let me drink my oj splashed with aloe vera and get ready for work.

And one more thing, I gained another cousin on 3/27, 2 days b4 my late grandfathers birthday. This leaves only one first cousin on my moms side w/o child and she ain't having any no time soon! LOL His name is Marcus (I think) My mom didn't know height or weight or any of the basic stuff folks ask when someone has a baby. GO MOM!

Out the blue, one of the best feelings in the world is to take a nice movement, a good long hot shower, then lay in a bed of freshly washed bed linen. OMG! I was late to work this morning cuz I could not get back out the bed! LOL
