I went to the banquet. It was a banquet. *shrug* The best part of the night was when Pooka and I walked in the spot. Now under normal day to day time spent on campus I am very tee shirt and jeans. I even may sport a jersey from time to time. So seeing me in anything other than tee shirt and jeans is amazing. I was going to wear this black and white skirt outfit but when I saw some of my female schoolmates already working it, I knew I had to come with it. So I decided on my brown skirt outfit that I wore for one of my speeches and some brown strappy opened toe heels that went over really well with my schoolmates the first time. The rain stopped so I had to show the toes! I have this brown scarf that I tied around the new growth and let the twist do what they do. LOL Pooka had on a blue and white church dress (the best way I can explain it) tights and blue shoes. I had her hair up in a bun and gave her a bang. When we walked in I got "whoas" and Pooka got "Awwwwws". As much as I have a love/hate relationship with having the spotlight, I loved every minute of it. I knew me and mine was looking good and it felt good to have it acknowledged by others.
I didn't win the camera or anything else for that matter. One of the doctors won movie tickets and a pizza at some place I've never heard of. The doctor didn't want it and gave it to Pooka. That was really nice of her. So I guess I'll be going to the movies again soon. I had some other movie tickets but they expired on 3/31 :-( Oh well.
This morning I decided to wear the black and white outfit I was going to wear last night to work this morning and I've had 3 people come to my office just to see what I had on. WTH? ROFL! I didn't know it was such a big deal for me to rock a skirt. Yeah I normally wear jeans but I used to dress up every now and again at work so they've seen my legs, matter of fact, they have seen this outfit more than once. At one point in time it was a part of my regular rotation! I don't get it. I like the attention and the compliments tho' :-)

My heart broke a tad when my name wasn't called for camera guess I really will end up buying my own :-(

It was really nice of her, I was kinda disappointed that I didn't win one of the 101 small door prizes that they had! So it made me feel a bit better too1 :-) What? It did.
Now Ladynay, you know you walked into that banquet and paused at the door so that you could be admired for a minute! I know I would have.
And you know this mannnnnnnnn! Seriously I did. I ain't gonna front I even had the nerve to shasshay (sp?) myself around the room to find a seat! LOL
Maybe you need to switch things up a bit more. I kind of have a love/hate thing with the compliments I get when I dress up. In the back of my mind I always think, damn, do I look that much better dressed up or do you just hate my normal look?
How could you let the movie tickets expire? X( I just don't understand. There were so many movies out that you could've seen and you let them go to waste. Ah, ah, don't even try to explain! I'm disappointed so it's going to take me a minute to get over it.
Maybe I do, just not too often or it will lose its effect. :-)
I always like to think of it as I look just that good dressed up vs me not looking so hot normally.
But...but...shoot! :-(
