I had got it in my head that I was going to spend these 3 weeks focused on me. I was going to hit the trail after work everyday and jump start my trail habit again (for the umphteenth time) and really control my food portions. I figured between that and my swim class starting on the 26th I'd be putting myself further along the right path. Yesterday was going to be the first day of me hitting the trail until my boss, who lives on my side of town, told me something that cancelled my plans on the spot. He told me this weekend he saw a Copperhead about 3 feet long on the trail, not in the woods but on the concrete trail! O....M....G!!!!! He said it was probably crossing to get to the water but JEEZ! I mean I know that there are snakes by the lake and around my way but I never seen nothing more than 2 dead baby snakes not even 6 inches long in the many years I have been living where I do. OMG! JUST OMG! Needless to say my trail and portion control plan has turned into a DDR and portion control plan. I DDR'ed last night and it felt really good. I didn't even eat dinner! I just didn't think about it until I woke up hungry this morning.
I have my final this morning then I'll be done with the course for good. Wish me luck as always. I am confident I will do well.
Today is my bestestestest friends birthday. She has been my girl since 2nd grade! I was going to do a post about us and all the stuff that's happened in the past, but, she knows about all that stuff and I've already put it out on the net that she's one of the coolest folks ever and that I love her like a fat kid loves cake (thanks 50) so no need to get all mushy! :-)

Oh no! Not a copperhead! lol That would scare me off a bit too. There is a trail in the town where I live. A few years back a friend and I went walking on it during a late evening in the summer. We kept seeing what we thought were little twigs on the ground. It wasn't until we walked under one of the light posts that we discovered that they were little snakes (we saw them moving). I could have tried out for the Olympics that day for all the running and hurdling over anything that looked remotely like a snake. bwahahaha
I know you're not acting all scary. Let me go get my brick and give you something to be scared of. LOL You know snakes are there. The generally don't even want to mess with us so just keep alert, don't get too close, and try not to step on any and there should be no problems.
Good luck on your finals.
You too good to get mushy or something? Boo @ you not tearing up, bottom lip quivering, and getting mushy about your best friend. For shame Ladynay. For shame!
me and snakes have an understanding. they stay out my way and I wont kill em. I dont like snakes at all.
I know you will do awesome on your exam. You are phenomenal.
Happy Bday bestest
I don't do snakes. But don't let that stop you from going on the trail. Just keep an eye out.
Good luck with finals
Argal, a bunch of baby snakes? My skin crawls thinking about it!!! I know you must have been moving cuz I know I would have! Man!
Freaky, I'd take you and your brick before any wild snake any day!!!!!! I will hit the trail eventually, just not this week. It's raining today anyway.
Thanks I am constantly checking the website for my grade. She started grading them in class this morning so she should be finished and posting them up soon.
She understands :-)
DNT, I like that understanding. Have you ever had to kill one? If so, did you shoot it? Anything else requires getting way too close for me! LOL
You are the woman DNT! Thanks for the smile :-)
I'll relay the message. :-D
Southern, I'll give it try...later. LOL Thanks!
good luck..don't be scurred! go hit that trail girl!
Thanks. Don't be scared????? Easier said than done man! LOL
Man I wish I knew someone from when I was in the 2nd grade. I didn't get that kinda vibe till the 4th grade. That's a friendship.
Hope you did well on that final (I speak past tense cause I got in here late, lol)
2 grade, 4th grade...close enough! It's been a long time regardless :-)
I did well enough to secure my A in the class *does happy dance* It won't be official until she sumbits my grade to the university but point wise....I GOT MY A!!!!!! *con't happy dance*
The same thing happened to me this morning. I started my exercise / eat right thing today. On the way back I saw a dead snake that had been run over several times. What tripped me out the most is that I didn't see it when I was going up the street, I guess because I was looking straight ahead. I must have dang near stepped on the thing based on its position. Needless to say, I won't be jogging over there any time soon.
Jaybee, cool letters :-) Welcome.
I guess the heat is bringing the snakes out to play! UGH! If there was another trail in walking distance I sure would have it that on vs. the one I did.
