Had court this morning for that mothers day incident. It got dismissed like the cop said it would. I wish I had this cool court story to tell but I don't. Not knowing where I was going, I walked straight into a small, mostly filled court room and sat down. Some dude was at a podium that was a few feet in front of where the judge sits. I was mad early so I figured I'd sit and watch other people get dealt with before my turn came up. After about 5 minutes the bailiff started speaking and the judge came in and sat down. Then the bailiff said that everyone had to check in at the kiosk outside before coming in the court so if we hadn't we needed to do so. That was me and the lady next to me.
We go out the room and the way the lines are set up is rrrrrrrrrrreally dumb. What you are supposed to do is get in the check in line then get in the DA line. But there where no signs to say what was what or where to go. Me and the lady got in the DA line first because that was where everyone else was then someone in line told us to go "over there" to check in first while pointing so an empty area. We did what we was supposed to do and got back in the DA line. The word of mouth advice had to be passed down cuz we told the folks that came in after us and they told the folks that came in after them, so forth and so on.
It was my turn to talk to one of two folks behind the desk. She asked me if I had my registration card, I gave it to her, she "Yay'ed"...really, then told me to have a nice day. I asked her if I could leave cuz I wasn't sure if that was a have a nice day you can leave the court house or have a nice day go sit your butt down in the court room. She said that they would dismiss my case and I could leave. Sweet! So I was back to work before my case was supposed to be heard. Thank God I went down there early! :-)
Nothing going on this weekend. I am debating the Bodies Exhibit. I keep talking and talking and talking about it. Now it's time to put up or shut the heck up. This is the only weekend open for me to go before my class is over so it's tomorrow or never.
I also plan to spend one on one time with my kid. Since class started I have been studying during the times I usually hang out with her and recently she has started displaying to me that she wants my attention so this weekend is hers. My study time will be cut in half also. I should have known better. I was at fault but I am correcting myself.

Yay (lol) on your case being dimissed. Did the "yay" lady give you something in writing? I just had to ask....I have trust issues when it comes to things like that. :-)
Ummmmmmmm nah :-( Now I thinking. I saw her write something on my paper. If something goes down then I'll deal with it then.

glad ur case was dismissed... wish the MD traffic courts were as "easy" as urs... we have to sit in court until we're called to find whether or not the case will be dismissed (which usually only happens if the cop doesn't show)
Yuck! Hopefully I'll never have to experience that in either state again.
