In attempt to try new things and still get a workout, I went and got my sexy on. There is the place not to far from here that calls themselves an alternative fitness studio. At B-Ris.que (http://www.brisquefitness.com/) you can take classes like...belly dancing, pole, floor/chair, lapercise, Latin aerobics, African dance, etc. Well I decided to go see what this place was all about since I am childfree and they do this thing called 5 dollar Fridays where each class you want to take that's offered that Friday is 5 bucks. Sweet. I was crazy enough to put my 10 bones down for 2 back to back classes. What was I thinking??? I took Latin aerobics and floor chair. Beginner pole was at the same time as LA so out of the 2 I chose LA. I learned from Pam and TTD that pole is upper body stuff and my upper body strength is horrible! LOL
I get there and since it was my first time I had to fill out paperwork so I was about 5 mins. late to LA. I walked in while they were still warming up. Even though I was the biggest thing in the room, I felt better seeing more than bean poles up in there! All I got to say about the LA class is that I understand why Shakira or whatever her name is looks like she does. Moving your hips and dancing around is sexy and fun, but when you're doing it for an hour the fun starts turning into work! LOL! After LA class it was time for floor/chair in the same room. While the LA teacher was getting her stuff together to bounce a sorta thick chick comes in with tank top and shorts on that I don't think should have been that short. In my mind I was like "that can't be the instructor" and sure enough it was. I let the jiggle she has her body fool me cuz that broad WORKED IT OUT! Even the bean poles couldn't keep up with this chick. It was insane. Simply insane! By the time I finished doing what I could of the floor/chair my core muscles were on pure FIRE! It was that feel good pain cuz it was the type of feeling that let me know I did it right and didn't hurt myself trying to keep up.
My plan was to walk down the street to Target and get a wedding gift for today, but the sky looks like it wants to cry so I'll either DDR or go back to the studio for Zumba (which is taught by the LA lady) or Hip Hip Aerobics. I still have a little while to figure out what I want to do since Zumba doesn't start till 9:30. I have to call the studio up and find out if it will be free for me to try the class. Except for 5 dollar Fridays, your first class is free. Now I am wondering since my first class was on Friday would my first non 5 buck Friday class be free. That would help me determine how I am going to get my workout today.
I have been doing good these past 5 days. If I keep this up I should definitely have visible results by New Years. Yall out there in internet land help me stay motivated would you? You guys helped get me on the snake trail so I know you can help give me that extra push every now and again! :-) I know I am going to need it.

Was the instructor showing some cheek? If so I want to go there and watch. Maybe I'll exercise my right wrist and strengthen my forearm or something. What? You exercise your way and I'll get my workout on my way.

I want to do one of those classes. I will wait on it though.

Sounds like a fun way to keep in shape. For some reason, I was thinking about that video Beautiful Liar and how Shakira and Bouncy were trying to outshake each other. I guess it's a good way to stay in shape. You'll do fine.
Freaky, no she wasn't showing cheek. She didn't really have much of a booty so I don't know how much of a workout you may have got! LOL
Cool DNT! At least you know too that it takes a little bit to actually see change. People with gut for days work out for a month and think they gonna have an 8 pack! It makes me laugh everytime I hear something like that! LOL
When the time is right for you I would mos definitely go to at least one class to see what it is like.
The weekend has done me well thus far.
E, it is fun! Burns like hell but fun! Beautiful Liar is one of the songs we worked out too in floor chair.:-) Shakira and B looked muuuuuuuuuch better than the class did working the hips!HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA
