Early weekend

I think the most exciting stuff has already happened so why not post? It's better than getting started on cleaning my room right?

The week was long and I am still looking for a way out my job. The last job I applied for hasn't got back with me yet but the automatic response email said to give a few weeks to hear something.

My coworker turned 60 yesterday. I guess some white don't crack either cuz I would have never guessed it. Her favorite food is pizza so she was thrown a pizza party. Man, there was so much pizza around after it was over there were still a few pies left. I waited until everyone chilled, burped, went the bathroom, and went for round two before I made my stash to take home. I created an entire pie of my favorites that were left and put it in the van. When I was done there were still 2 pies left so I didn't clean house.

After work I went to have dinner with Lsbnmom, Ladykat, a couple of Lsbnmoms friends, and our children. I am not much of a talker anyway but I didn't feel like I contributed enough to the conversations. Some things that were talked about I had no real idea who was who and what was what. Then sometimes 2 convo's were going on at the same time and I had to pick one to tune in on. The most entertaining thing for me was Lsbnmom's daughter, she's full of character. I really had no business actually ordering more than a drink from the restaurant cuz my body was still very full of pizza but fat girls do what fat girls do and ordered some soup and quesadillas and managed to eat most of it. Now just hours earlier at the doctor to get my shot, the dude reminded me that I am 40 pounds heavier this year than I was around this time last year. He also told me I was 7 pounds heavier than I was 3 months ago! YIPPEE! With the exception of a few days like yesterday I have been doing good on my way to a lifestyle change.

The doc's office seems to have a quick turnover time cuz the last few visits I have had a new nurse. What kills me is that they go through there procedures when I already know some things will not work. For instance, they have a machine that takes your blood pressure. It is very convenient for the nurses cuz all they have to do is apply the cuff, but that machine does not work on me. Either the cuff will keep inflating and inflating or it will give an error message as results. This happens EVERYTIME! So while the new nurse is changing the machines cuff to a bigger one I informed her that she would have to take my BP manually because the machine doesn't work on me and told her what usually happens. Just like the rest of the nurses I guess she thought she knew better than the person who has been to each and every doctors appointment since I've left the womb and cuffed me to the machine anyway. It always comes with statement like "well let's try this first and see what happens" I JUST TOLD YOU WHAT IS GONNA HAPPEN!!!! So after I was proven correct she did what I suggested before she went through the trouble to set the machine up. *eyeroll*

So anyways, after dinner it was decided that Pooka and I were gonna hang out at Ladykats so that is what we did. It was a great way for us to be out the house and to have Pooka play with the kids some. Pooka had been talking about wanting to see her "cousins" for awhile so I knew she wanted some play time with them, not just hanging out eating at the table.

I am particularly fond of the manner in which Ladykat speaks. I think I blogged this before but whatever. LOL! I know before she even starts speaking that she is going to use at least one word I can't get a solid guess of the meaning, bring up a person I've never heard of, more likely than not it would be an author, and use her original topic as a seg way into new topic. I love it! This time she even sprinkled in some movies that I've never heard of that I must see. The only one I remember the title of right now is Usual Suspects and I recall that one cuz it was one of few I'd heard of b4! LOL Like for instance we looked at a 20/20 special on Hell which prompted a talk on belief/faith/spiritually/etc..... Even though I've known Ladykat for years I never really knew her take on some of those things and some of it was unexpected and interesting. Well well into this topic she asked if I seen some movie (that I hadn't) was about Muslims taking over Jerusalem which kinda jumped started a chat about movies. It's great. I enjoy listening to LadyKat express herself cuz again, I am not much of a talker so talking to her makes my life easier! LOL

During dinner it was also decided that we were going to try and hang out once a month. Don't ask me why but I felt odd being apart of it. I guess because most the people there were Lsbnmoms friends and part of me was like, those are her friends so they can't be mine. As I am sitting here typing I can't really come up with the words to properly express what I mean. Maybe I feel like I am in a different circle then the other ladies that were there. Maybe I am just afraid to possibly make new friends despite my want to have more local folks to hang with. I don't know. We are getting together next month so will see how it works.

Well I guess it's time to start the rest of my weekend. Nothing much is planned. I must clean my room cuz it is a sight, then I am going to get this head twisted later. God knows I need it my hair is everywhere! I definitely need to hit the store for some toilet paper cuz the last roll is getting smaller and smaller (tmi). I may clean my tank out cuz all the fish are dead except the algae eater and I don't think I want him with my new fish that I get cuz he has been eating off them sick fish I had up in there. At least I think they were sick, them jokers were doing some strange things! So I'll just kill him if he don't die before I am ready to clean the tank. Dat's bout it.
