So long Rusty....

Dear Rusty:

Well old pal it's been real. Can't really believe that I let you go but you and I both knew it was time for you to go into that next phase of life. I hope the salvage yard does you well.

I remember when I brought you. That sweet older white couple had brought them a brand new 07 Caravan and didn't have a need for you. So they put you up for sale for next to nothing trying to find you a good home quick. Aunt Diva and I were quick to ride out there and scoop you up. I remember driving you for the first time and falling in love with the extra space you provided that Cracker didn't. I remember when your radio went out and I had my boom box in the back seat so we could keep jammin'! I know you didn't forget how you felt when I went to Circuit City and had that new system installed! We had the bass up to the max all the way home! Remember when we went to Baltimore? Neither one of us knew that blogger TTD would be driving you that night! Man those where some good times.

For the time I had you I must say you treated me pretty good. I calculated all the money I put into you and you cost me about 100 bucks a month. That's not too shabby my old friend. Mia costs me way more than that a month! LOL Speaking of Mia, she will miss you too. She knows how when I first brought her home you still took care of the major business until she could get her feet wet around town. It wasn't until you started to get sick and I couldn't afford to make you better that you made her step up and take care of the major transportation. She appreciates you breaking her in softly to my driving style. :-)

Man, I really don't believe that your parking space will be empty when I leave to get Pooka from afterschool in a few. I'm getting sad just thinking about it.....

Thanks for all the trips and for putting up with all my singing and dancing. I'll miss you.

Your third owner,

Ladynay

i drove a Dodge Caravan a few years ago. all i can say is i'm glad you had such a positive experience! on the one i drove, the speedometer and subsequently the odometer were broken. picture me driving down the road w/ no earthly idea how fast i was driving. oh, and forget about scheduled maintenance! 3000 miles... 6000 miles, the world will never know! :-) when i got my own "Mia," trust me when i say i never looked back!
