T minus one week!

This time next week Imma be up in my girlfriends van (prolly sleep) on my way to the DC metro! I am actually starting to get excited cuz I need out of NC, bad! I haven't been out the area since Chicago and that was in daggone August! So I am looking forward to the trip and hanging with my unit back home. Mommy is tripping talking about she don't wanna go, but she don't have much choice in the matter, she's getting in the van!

Yesterday I called the university up to find out when they mail out report cards. I know what I got in my courses, but I want to see them in front of me. When the lady told me that I have to make a written request for a report card to be mail I was puzzled. Come to find out, the teachers now put the grades online! GO NCCU! So of course I had to look and there is only one grade for me posted, and it wasn't Prof Umfufu's, with my luck he won't put the grade up till the very last minute.

While at the store yesterday Pooka wanted a soda out the machine, so I gave her the change and she put the money in and got the soda. After she picked it up she goes "Mommy, I like this soda. It has delicious flavor". Mommy just burst out laughing and I was stumped. Delicious flavor????? Children her age say that it tastes good, not "it has delicious flavor"! I don't know where she is getting this from! But it gets better....we get home and were chillin in my room. Pooka is playing with some of my old school work that I hadn't thrown away and then she says "D-N-A Mo-el-ee" (DNA molecule)she is speaking really slowly like she was sounding it out! So I hoppped up and took the paper and sho nuff it was my notes on DNA. I couldn't believe it so I ran and told mommy (who wasn't that excited) and ran to her room to get a few of her books to have her read. Of course when I gave them to her she was looking at me like I was crazy. I even called her father up and told him, he was more excited than I was! So that made my night.

This weekend consists of cleaning, walking the trail, hanging out with Hair so the kids can have a play date, and hopefully getting my headlight fixed/having him diagnosis yet another issue my car is having. The car just cuts off when it wants to. Me, my local mechanic, and my non local mechanic believe it's a wiring issue and Local offered to take some time to investigate. Everytime I ask where his house/shop is...he says stuff like "I am not too far from you" or "about 2 miles away" in our last convo he offered to come pick my car up and bring it back when he is done. Ummmmm I am not gonna give my keys to this dude to take my car God knows where and possibly spend Sunday watching the game while charging me per hour so he can tell me he couldn't find anything, knowing he didn't look in the first place! He don't got my trust like that yet! I miss my old mechanic Bynerd. All it took was for me to buy the part, he'd fix the issue, and he'd charge me a box of cig's or to buy him lunch. He just liked working on cars!

Anyways, I need to finish reading my blogs and actually earn my paycheck....
