A walk around the lake

I finally went outside today. The scale told me that the holidays aren't kind and to get my butt back on the trail. My stomach, thighs, and butt are still screaming at me for getting back on the ball but I ain't paying them no mind.

Being that half the US started a new diet and excercise regimen yesterday, the trail was kinda crowded. It felt kinda good not being the only noticeably overweight person walking. It's usually me, maybe one other chubby chick and the rest slim older folks, average folk walking their dog(s) and people who appear to be training for a marathon.

About a mile and a half into my walk it started to rain. Ain't no way I am running, so I just kept walking. I walked by a lady who appeared to by around my age, also obese getting her power walk on. All I could do is give her a thumbs up, she smiled and gave me wink. That was so cute. Unspoken encouragement. Here it is raining and we still out there trying to handle our business.

In other news, last night baby daddy admit about him playing "the game" with women. He kept trying to tell me a situation didn't exist when I know it does. He asked me "how do you know" so I broke it down to him play by play and I was so dead on he couldn't help but to give me my props. I am actually suprized he told me I was right. Between playing this game with him unknownly for years and advice from much older and wiser players/macks/pimps/whatever....I know a lil sumtin, not everything, but enough!

Like LAL calling me not to long ago. Haven't had a convo with him in a good lil while. In a very cute, innocent, round about way he played 20 questions. Making sure I didn't have a new man coming cross my threshold and if he could come over. I knew what the deal was so in a very cute, innocent, round about way I played along. It would have been so much easier just to ask me if I had a man and if he could come over....it's not that hard!!!! But it's all good. Grandma always said the first vistior to enter your house after the new years should be a man, so I am on track!

LOL, Girl my grandma always said the first visitor to cross your threshold after the new year should be a man to. Thank goodness I’m on track with that one this year as well. It didn’t happen that way last year cause my sister popped her butt over here and I forgot all about it until it was already too late! Hopefully this year will be better than the last. Not that that last year was terrible, but it can always get better right?

That’s good that you have started your exercise routine. I have not been feeling today so I did not do a thing. I wonder if I would have actually gotten my exercise on if I was feeling better (smile).
