McDonald's, Fast and the Furious, NFL, NBA

I watched the kids Friday. We were supposed to have pizza delivered but I changed the plans. Since the 17 month old wasn't there I loaded the kids up in the van and we went to this pizza buffet joint called Cici's. The kids ate and played in the mini arcade till they couldn't eat or play no more. Well the pretended to play in the arcade cuz aunt Nay didn't have any quarters just a debit card. While the kids did what they do I pulled out my Physics book. The oldest child, who I strongly believe is bout to start her period cuz she was PMS'ing, came and sat next to me and asked me what I was doing. I told her homework and she tells me that grown ups don't have homework because grown up don't go to school, we go to work. So we have a talk about how that's not the case and that sometimes when grown ups who have a job, but want to change jobs, they might have to go to school. Once she got what I was telling her I asked the 10 year old what she wanted to do when she finished school.

"work at McDonalds, race like they do on fast and the furious, play in the NFL or NBA whoever picks me first"

I wasn't ready for that answer. I asked her about each career choice and I gathered that that is the order she wants to work. I told her that street racing like the fast and the furious was against the law and that she could drive just as fast being NASCAR driver. She wasn't interested in driving in circles or having to enter the car through the window. Fine. I told her if she made the WNBA (to which she quickly told me NBA cuz she don't want to play with girls...okay fine) or was the first woman drafted to the NFL to make sure she didn't forget to buy me a house. She laughed and asked me if I thought she could play football.

"Sure why not, you run like the wind ***no joke*** so I can see you being something like a wide receiver"

"Aunt So and So says that girls don't play football"

"Well when you get drafted and your on every tv station as the female to go pro, make sure aunt so and so is the first person you call. Then call me and tell me where I can pick up the keys to the mansion you brought for me"

She thought that was funny. Why would someone deter a child from a dream is beyond me. It's not like she said she wanted to be a crackhead or drug dealer. I just hope she don't really get into illegal street racing. N E Ways....

We go back to LadyKat's and the kids played for about a half hour then I heard complete silence.

Sunday LadyKat and dem ran late so by time they got back to Raleigh we were all sleep on the couches while the Incredibles watched us on the tube.

Then me time came. I went grocery shopping and spent waaaaay over what I planned on but there some new recipes I found that I want to try. I picked up the pet stuff Ms. New New *on the left* suggested and the plan was go home, move the furniture and start on the carpet. What happened was I got home, put the groceries away, separated my meat out in freezer bags, cut up all my produce and had lunch. I was feeling a nap coming on so I went to lay on my favorite couch and it was like everytime I got comfortable I would think of something that I needed to do, so after a few up and downs on the couch I decided to stay up and start moving stuff around in Pooka's room. This led to me pulling out her fall/winter gear and packing up some of the spring/summer gear and the reorganization of her closet and drawers.

By time I got mostly done with all that Ladykat called and said she was too tired to drive to my part of town and that we should meet for dinner. Cool, so a few more hours of me time. I was already on this clean up kick so I redid my room and closet and Pooka's room and closet, bleached down the kitchen and bathrooms....basically cleaned the place really really good. It smells devine in my place right bout now. LOL

So I ended up not doing anything I thought I was going to. Didn't sleep, didn't see T-lo, didn't get on the trail, didn't study, didn't clean the carpet *I prepped it tho'* and it was all good. Nothing exciting....

Today I have been 2 lazy to go up the road and get rent the carpet cleaner or to go pricing a entertainment center, so I been st8 lounging around.

My mom laughed when I told her I spent my me time cleaning and and doing things I could have done with Pooka at home. She said she didn't want to hear me say anything about wanting time to relax and free my mind cuz it seems like I don't know how. I do know how! I am relaxing right now!

it's funny how a weekend doing routine tasks can still be great. i spent last weekend cleaning as well, and loved it! i wasn't fixated on the stuff i had to do for work and whatnot. this weekend has been pretty uneventful as well, and like you said, it's totally fine.

I didn't love it...lol I love that my place is spotless tho' hahahahaha

Sometimes routine weekends are fine, just like this one was. But I would always say that I need time to "do me" and this weekend I had the time and the money to do something...and didn't! :-(

When I was 9, I wanted to be the first female in the NFL too. I actually played little league all the way up to tenth grade. I got hurt in a game and my mother said that that was it, so she put me in the marching band. I already played softbal and did the track thing. I agree, as long as she does not want to be the next pookie, or ry-ray on the corner than that is fine. Right now they are her dreams.

I walked yesterday, (souldnt bring myself to workout thoug) I did three miles, and so we can dedicate 1 1/2 mile to you.

LOL 1. you ARENT supposed to know what I'm trying to say!! lol, stop trying to figure it out!!!

2. The Killers arent the most easiest of artists to understand. I'm still figuring out the song, but I'm sure it has NOTHING to do with the video.

3. White background? I'm pretty sure it's a gradient... So it should be liek thre edifferent oclors faded into one another.

DNT, you wanted to play in the NFL too? That's hot! Pooka's god sister needs to be on a track. When I posted that she ran like the wind I meant it and she's only 10! I mean her form and everything is so naturally efficient, if a good coach gets a hold of her and fine tunes her natural talent she could be olympic material on the real! She's not bad at basketball either but she simply blows us away when we watch her race with the kids or watch her run up and down the b-ball court.

*smirk and eyeroll* well you should have took the comment box off! LOL I didn't know what to say cuz I couldn't figure out what you was trying to say...

Guess I need to download the video and further confuse myself.

Can I get you to come up here and clean up?

I think a woman will get into the NBA way before the NFL. Although there is a women's semi-pro football league. I think they've only lost like two games in the past five years. Maybe the Lions could recruit some of them and win some games.

I see that call I made to the Devil's van lit a fire under you. LOL. Glad your weekend was productive and you got some time for yourself.

Fuzz, Yeah I guess but I was really hoping for something better. Yep the carpet is pretreated and smelling a tad better.

Freaky, only if I can wear a french maid outfit. LOL I didn't know there was a women's semi pro football league! You learn something new everyday.

There is a coach I know in the area where you are. I will get the name and number and email it to you. He is friends with my high school coach. During the summers when we did aau sports he would assist and it helped. He was very instumental when I made my decision to do sports in college. He is awesome with kids. I have a friend who I thinks still trains with his sons from time to time. He is training for the olympics.

She can play for the WNFL. It is not big but it is just like the WNBA. I am not sure where the teams are but I know there was the DC Divas. http://www.womensfootballcentral.com/

Jj is going to be a quarterback for them when she grows up! LOL

DNT, that's what's up. I will forward the info to her mom's and let her do what she wants with it.

TZ, I shouldn't be surprized about there being a WNFL, but I am. Jj is kinda short to be a quarterback, but if she likes it, I love it! LOL

Did the carpet stuff work for ya?

Don't you just hate dream killers? I hope I didn't become one this weekend. *sigh*

Bad, Ladynay! LOL. The French maid outfit works for me. Oh yeah, it works. Just bend over a lot while you're cleaning. Then again I'm not sure how much cleaning you'd get down if you take my suggestion.

NewNew, so far so good. I only did a pretreat.

Freaky, it'll be just more of a mess to clean ;-P
