Nobody is here at work yet so why not finally blog? LOL To tell the truth, I kinda like not blogging/reading/surfing for hours everyday like I used to.
What's been up? Nothing really. I have really been studying my butt off so I can bust this A in my class. The class is 5 weeks long and highly concentrated. Right now my points have me at a B, which is ehhhhh okay but not what I want. I am halfway through the course THANK GOD! My teacher put it like this...for 5 weeks you have to eat, sleep, and breath the muscular skeletal system. So far I have been close to doing just that.
In other news I took a self defense class at work. I highly suggest anyone, esp. females to take a course. Many of my coworkers didn't take the class because "they knew what to do" which is what it is, but I learned many things that I would not have even thought about which is priceless and possibly life saving info. Yesterday was our last class and we padded up and did real life simulations where we were to use the techniques as if we were really being attacked. Why for one of the situations you had to close your eyes and you couldn't start defending yourself till one of the two attackers touched you. Mannnnnnnnnnn once dude touched me it was popping. I dealt with the first one and the second one came for me and I stole him with all I had (he had on a face helmet and I had on boxing gloves) and this dude dropped and shook his head fast a few times as if to get himself together. I gasped and said sorry. But we are not supposed to say sorry because we are supposed to give what we got. I never hit someone in the face with all I got before and.......I wanna do it again! It felt sooooooooooooooo good! I didn't know I had the power to drop someone. After all the scenarios were done we were whooped. We all were moving real slow afterwards but it was worth it. Again, if you never took a self defense course, take one!
After a bit of recover time, I took Pooka to see Sesame Street live. She absolutely loved it! She had no idea she was going. I did it like I did the circus and just took her. Once she figured out we were not going home or to the library she asked me a million times where we were going and I wouldn't tell her. Once she got in the spot she got her eyes were wide open and fixed! I loved it! The show itself was really cute. Each character had a song and the music varied. One monster had rock and roll, one had gospel, one had old school quartet, one had opera, etc....Well cookie monster did his song about eating healthy to rap. OH MY GOD why was cookie monster working it OUT! For a minute I thought he was going to drop it like it was hot!!!!! Who ever was in that costume had some black in 'em cuz he was getting it! LOL I mean cookie monster and the veggies should NOT be crip walking and harlem shaking! It's just not right I tell you!!! NOT RIGHT! LOL
The place wasn't as packed as I thought it would be, but then again the advertisement for the show was horrible. I heard ONE commercial on the radio for it and that was like 2 weeks after I brought my tickets. Tick et mas ter emailed me telling me that the show was coming and that if you went opening night tickets were 12 bucks. 12 bucks???? Oh heck yeah, so I jumped on that real quick. But if it wasn't for the email I got I pretty much would not have known! My little pony is coming in August and they were passing out papers with codes on it so we can buy tickets b4 they go on sale. Depending on how much they selling them for we might be going to see my little pony on stage.
Today I get to go see Pooka perform in their end of the year play. I can't believe that my baby is going to be in the first grade! *has a mommy moment* She didn't have much to memorize and we practiced enough so she has her part down pact. I asked her this morning if she was going to get on stage as say her part and she smile and said yes. We will see. When she had to sing for the Christmas play she froze and watched the show in the audience with the rest of us. I blogged about that night but I don't feel like looking for it. LOL
Tomorrow is nothing but watching a baby and a puppy overnite and studying for exam 3 on Monday. That's it! Very exciting stuff!
I will note this down just in case some weird stuff pops off in the future....
This morning I woke up with a nose bleed and I feel like I am on my period but I am not bleeding...

Girl he was doing the darn thing! LOL
They added healthy foods to his diet and emphasized that cookies are supposed to be a "sometimes" food and fruits and veggies were "everyday" foods.

For some reason, I thought Pooka was in preschool. I thought she would be starting kindergarten next school year. Well, get ready for homework! My coworker comes to work almost every week talking about a project her 1st grader had to do.

No need to bet, the performance is over and Pooka did wonderful. Now I need to invest in a good camcorder cuz I don't plan on having many more shows like that not on tape! LOL
That's so sweet that you surprise your baby like that. Seeing a kids face light up is one of the most beautiful sights in the world.
