Well Thanksgiving is upon us and just like last year, I am posting online before driving to the country. A few coworkers asked me what I considered country since many transplants consider Raleigh country. To me country is vegetable, cotton, and 'bacca fields, farms, factorys, and animals, oh yeah it's also no street lights, ditches, curvy roads, and families of deer that like to total your car! That's country! My mom and 'em left yesterday so they are already down! YAY! Something happened with my mom's situation and allowed her to come along! YAY!
Anywhoooooooo. This post was going to be typed up at the end of the month when I got my check but today is the holiday that everyone is stating what they are thankful for so if I am going to say thank you, it should be today right?
I don't know about anyone else, but my money comes in cycles. I am doing good where I can pretty much do what I want then I may have to forgo the extra stuff, so on and so forth. But When my transmission went out on me, that put me in a new category of broke. When all was said and done I had NOTHING! Credit card maxed and check was gone! I still had to come up with enough money to pay for the rest of the rental car fee (I'd had it a month) and survive for the rest of the month. I did pay my rent and utilities, but that's about it. I mean, I got to a point where I asked folks that don't really know me like that for help. I was just that strapped!
So I must say thank you to a few people that read this blog. I originally thought of calling names, but you know who you are and I hope you understand how blessed I am to have you in my life.

Thank you for putting food on the table
Thank you for keeping gas in the van
Thank you for helping pay off the rental
Thank you for the chance to drive to work, school, and daycare (cosigns on gas)
Thank you for the chance to drive down and spend today with my family!!!!!!
Thank you for the deodorant and toilet tissue
Thank you for the laundry detergent
Thank you for the use of your dryer
Thank you ever so much for allowing a sista and her child to survive the month. I honestly could not have done it without the assistance of you guys.

Girl I know all about the country! lol I'm from the Delta region in AR where cotton rules the roost! We did have street lights though. lol
