I have no title....what?

I don't know what it's going to take to get my zest for reading people business back! LOL I'm still working on it.

If I have your number and you don't have an answering machine or voicemail and saw someone from a 919 number call you this weekend...it was probably me. I am trying to do the reach out and touch people thing. My phone never really rings, but the phone works both ways so I called a bunch of folks. I still don't believe there are folks around that don't have some kind of leave me a message service or machine of some kind....hmmmmm

Pooka's classmate had a party at a local park. I was the ummmmm token family there outside of one Hispanic family. Everyone was really nice and I was more comfortable than I thought I would be. There were 3 other parents (another single mom and a married couple) I kinda stuck with and they were a mess! Esp. the father of this little girl! There are no words! LOL An interesting thing was that there were some things that I just could not id with. They were not redneck or nothing but I felt I would have been kinda bougie wanting to say that I was going to Riverdance and Annie around them. So I didn't. The strangest feeling I swear.

I brought a Wii yesterday! Wasn't really planning on it. Took my van to Wally world for a routine oil change and while Pooka and I was killing time she ran to the playable Nintendo DS to play. I watched her play for a minute than started looking at the Wii games behind the glass shelf. As my eyes scrolled on down I saw this box at the bottom chilling all by its lonesome. I didn't know what the box looked like so I got the attention of an employee....

"Is that a Wii?"

"Yessssssssssssssssssss"

"For real?"

*she smiled probably laughing internally at my question* "Yesssssssssssssssssssssss"

"Can I have it?"

"Yesssssssssssssssss" she was funny.

I just so happen to have my credit card so we walked to the checkout and badda bing badda boom. I have a Wii. Pooka and I are very excited! I have not hooked it up yet but I will by the weekend. Pooka said at one of the centers she goes to that they have a Wii but the bigger kids are always on it so she never gets a chance to play. Well now she got one at home that she can play! YAY!

I have officially retired my credit card till I can pay the balance off. Between my "stimulus" check and my paycheck I should be able to cover my summer school cost without pulling out the plastic devil again! LOL

Speaking of school....why did I call Duke admissions to ask a general question and ended up talking to the chick for about half and hour. What makes it cool was I wasn't the one extending the convo. I called her at work and as my coworkers filed in they would say good morning and I would say it back. Then the admissions chick would say "oh do you have to go?" to which I'd quickly respond "no, every things fine". I mean the more positive time I can get with people connected to the program the better! What's even cooler is that I called the same person a few months ago to sort out some things and she remembers me! SWEET! She mentioned somethings that I mentioned to her months ago! Yeahhhhhhhhh baby! So anyways, she basically answered my question and then some which fortunately went the direction I want (at the moment).

I secured my A in Independent Study. So that's 2 down one more to go for the semester.

RIVERDANCE IS TOMORROW! YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! I am sure I'll give my 2 cent about it Wednesday!

It's so great to hear that things are going so well for you!!! You were always SUCH a great friend back in school. I hope to hear some more info about the 10 year reunion. WOW! 10 years!~ Can that be right???? hahaha Hope to see ya there!

LOL@ I just posted this up so you checked me out at the right time *wink*

Sonic and Mario Olympic games...noted! Will look into that when my play money is more than $0! LOL

I may dust off the myspace and put something new up there...maybe...

LIES! I was the meanest chick in the building with NO friends! You can tell the truth, it's okay. LOL!

Again, YOU are old.

Experience....yeah.....okay

I would like to thank Colgate, Crest, whatever other brand was on sale when I needed toothpaste, and my dentist for taking my money and keeping my mouth decent.

I got me a digital camera so you may have the chance to bug me for long.

Yay, and the Wii is about to hook another one! Maybe if you ever get online we can exchange friend codes. Hopefully my Mii character won't scare you and Pooka. :oD

Mario Party 8 is a game you might want to consider. It's fun playing with multiple people. Another party game to consider is WarioWare: Smooth Moves. Mario Galaxy, Paper Mario, and the highly anticipated Mario Kart are also games you may want to consider.

No voicemail or answering machine? That's just living in the stone age. They damn near give out voice mail accounts with cereal so not having it almost as weird as not watching TV. *whistles, ducks, & runs*

Internet friend codes? That sounds very techy! LOL! Once I hook it up and learn how to use it I may take you up on that.

So what you're telling me is to buy anything with Mario in it right? LOL

I won't throw nothing at you...this time. I know one person who has it set up cuz everyone of importance has their cell which is their main number. The only reason they have a land line is to satify a requirement of theirs. That's the only reason I can see folks not having some sort of answering service.

Yayyyy to you and pooka and the Wii.

My brother and his children love theirs--I am sure you 2 will too.

Ladynay said...

Tabu, you know I'm shaking my head at the screen cuz I can't shake it at you right? LOL

Yeah I heard it's a great machine. I am kinda shocked you don't have one.

I don't have one either!!! **shaking my head** My son has plenty of games and they are now dusting. So I'm leery about this Wii. I've never played one yet, so until I check one out for myself......

Y 4 U leery Kasandra? You heard something about the Wii system I don't know about? Share with the class!

Can you be bougie around white folk? I mean I didn't think you could bee too bougie around them. Bob and Mandy would have loved to hear about Riverdance....No offense NayNay but I really haven't heard of to many blacks going to Riverdance. Is that the same as the lord of the dance? That would have put you right at home with them for the day. They love stuff like that.

Don't let the white folk make you feel strange. Trust me, they are more intimidated of you, than you should be of them. I should know I was the token black guy all through school. Actual quote from my first day of 1st grade class..."I want to play with him, he's black!"

I have really been thinking about getting a Wii myself. Even though I'm a guy, I really never got into video games like that, although I would get the new systems while growing up, because all my friends had them. THe most action they got, was when someone came over, or when I dusted the inch of dust off them.
I think that the Wii might be one that everybody loves.

Yah see yb&dl, these 3 adults were more of the let's see how fast we can empty a keg, tailgating, so drunk you don't know where you parked your car, partying, clubbing, you're probably on someone's camera phone doing something crazy type peeps. Not the go to a show other than a country or rock show type. LOL! They were cool as hell.

I am not intimidated by white people. I am intimidated by being in a situation where I don't know anyone and it's expected to be social. I am not the most social person in the world despite popular belief. I just knew I wasn't going to like being the only person I knew besides Pooka at this party, but I was more comfortable than I expected myself to be.

Yep! Lord of the dance is Riverdance.

GASP! A guy that doesn't do video games!?!?!?! Every guy I know has some sort of affair, be it big or small, with their game consoles! You need to see a doctor! LOL

It's just a way to find your friends online, send them messages, challenge them to games, etc. It's a long 15 or 18 digit code if I recall correctly so I haven't even bothered to memorize it yet.

Well for the moment the majority of the good games on the Wii (well it also depends on what kind of games you're into) happen to have Mario's name on them or are Mario affiliated. Mario gotta get paid and eat! LOL

i used to be really good about calling ppl. but, when i saw i was doing most of the calling, i fell off. good to see you're at least making an effort. in line w/ the no voice mail thing, i'm always thrown off when i hear a busy signal when calling people.

enjoy Riverdance!

don't hurt yourself on Wii. a few months ago a friend of mine couldn't figure out why in the world her back was hurting her. come to find out she'd been playing some game on Wii and hurt herself. lol...

See why something got to be wrong with me.

Just because that was never my thing. I just never was into that stuff. I remember when I was 5 or 6 and getting the very first Nintendo, and not really interested in it. The only thing I remember plaing was the game, that you had to use a gun, and you would shoot the birds on the screen. That's why I think I would like Wii, real interaction.

Maybe there is something worng with me. There was this one holiday, andOur family was together, and all my cousins, where really into this playstation 2 game, Madden something and I'm talking about 20 and 30 year olders, and my ass was in the middle of all this reading a book....LOL

Ladynay said...

Freaky, I shouldn't be surprized Nintendo is pushing Mario. If I was Luigi (sp) I'd be mad! LOL

BB, the busy signal takes me off guard too!

I'll try to keep an eye out for myself and Pooka once we start to play.

Southern, you know you and I will have one soon!

Thanks!

Darrrrius, *eyeroll* LOL!

Ummmm yeah YB&DL, reading while all the men folks are hyping themselves on Madden is the sign of...specialness! *wink*

Jaybee, my insides said to leave it so I did. :-)

Well I've already posted about the time I had last night so no need to go into that.
