24 hour personal/family life/whatever, or lack of
The start of 2008 has definitely been one of the most active times of my life and I will reap the reward for it, at a price.
I prided myself on being able to handle it all and reset on Sundays. I always loved to talk about what I've been able to accomplish mostly to remind and prove to myself that I can do anything I set my mind to....
I've been doing it since January and had no problems...until last week.
Last week I totally forgot to go to the hospital to volunteer, yah know, the place that wants to hire me in July! I don't get penalized because it's volunteer work, but a no call no show does not look good. I just didn't realize until Friday that the day before was Thursday.
Yesterday during class I asked the professor if we were doing anything important Wednesday, April 16th, a week from today. His response, "*insert gov't name* today is Monday". I had to actually think about it because I really thought it was Wednesday. My Monday and Wednesday schedules are the same.
After class I realised the second part of my mistake with what I asked my professor. See, the 16th is when our department has it's banquet and I would like to go. The 16th is tomorrow, not a week away.
Starting next week I am only volunteering 3 hours vs. 5. However, soon I will be picking up a hour a week volunteering with the PT that work with the school system. I have to wait for the Head PT to call me back. That will be until the second week in June, so only about 6 or 7 weeks. See grad school not only look at how many hours you have, but the different environments you've been exposed to.
The semester is over on the 30th (last time I heard) which is 2 weeks away. Then summer I starts mid-late May. I am only taking 3 hours summer I and 4 hours during summer II. YAY!
Since things are going to slow down for me, Snookums is thinking about changing his schedule a bit to hang with me. YAY! Can't wait!
So my extended break is coming. Thank you God.
