Day 3: Naynay's log, star date AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

So yeah I have completed 2 days of Physics 2 and the emotions of Physics 1 have already came to visit. Since this is a summer course, he has a lot to teach in a small amount of time and I knew this wasn't gonna be easy...but MAN! I read and read and have read certain sections of the chapters 3 times. He only gives 5 questions a night for homework but it takes 3-4 sheets of paper to write everything down! When I get to a homework question that has a worked out example just like it within in the chapter, I work my homework question along with the example AND STILL GET THE WRONG ANSWER!!!!! The answers to the odd questions are in the back of the book and he usually gives us 2 odd questions to do so we can check ourselves. Not once have I wrote up a page and a half of formulas and equations, get an answer, flip to the back and the damn thing be right! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Oh and why does it seem like sometimes he be speaking in his native Asian language when he is lecturing sometimes? I am being sooooooooooo serious! I'm not just the only one to notice it cuz when it sounds like he's talking his native language the class looks at each other like "what he just say? Won du sai daaaaa?"

What in the world???? Physics is hard enough in English!

Why most of the college level math and science professors got to be foreign with a heavy accent any daggone way? But that's another soap box rant for another day...

Lord help us!

On a different note, looks like I may go to 2 partys/cookouts tomorrow. One during the lunch hour and one during the dinner hour. YAY! No cooking for me! Saturday I am working, rereading my chapters and hopefully start the one he is covering Monday.

I don't know what to tell you about the Physics. Is anyone else having trouble with it like you? I'd look into a tutor or finding someone who understands it and trying to set up a study group or something.

I hate having teachers with strong accents trying to teach me anything I may actually need to understand. Seriously, I wonder how some of them even made it through the interview unless the person doing the interview didn't speaka de Englaise either. :o(

You're going to turn into BBQ. Don't be surprised if random people walk up to you and take a bite out of you.

Have a good 4th of July weekend.

I don't know what to tell myself but do what I can and prey :-( No tutors on campus during the summer for Physics and judging my class so far, we are all in the same boat.

OKAY! It's like the school is like oh I can't understand anything you said...YOU'RE HIRED! *eyeroll*

I need to be bitten...and I'll leave it at that *wink*

U2 Mr. Deaky.

Nah, I went the French route with Mr. Haines so I don't know of her :-( Guess it's not just college! LOL

You have a good one too!

Kasandra, I hope you don't have to take it and if you do I pray you understand it a million times more than I do.

I had a professor from a country from Africa with a strong accent. This was a class I needed to take. I could only understand every second word. I passed the class on prayer.

Have a good holiday weekend!

Freaky stole the thought right from my head...how in the hell did he even get hired? lol I mean I figure he has to be smart to teach physics but did it not occur that his dialect would possibly be an issue. Geez!

Eat enough bbq for me. The way it's going now, I may not get any until tomorrow if the rain doesn't hold up. :-(

LOL... this post was funny.

i tried taking statistics in the spring term. i had to drop it though for the same reasons you're complaining about physics... right down to the heavy asian accent.

LMBO. good luck!!!

I'm going to pray for you and this Physics class. I HATED it in high school and only got by with a C when I did extra credit for the teacher. I'm not a science man...no way...no how.

given the fortune you've had w/ all your other classes, i'm sure Physics will work out just fine. it won't be a cake walk, of course, but you'll come out just fine.

Southern, guess I should start praying now and find me some holy water...*sigh*

Argal, I had enough for everybody! LOL! Food and drink.

Liryc, at first I thought you were new and was going be like how you going come in brand new and tag me? Then I read your profile and was like "ohhhhhhhh" I'll get to the tag this week if school don't consume my brain matter.

Torrance, you would love physics *smh* come do all my work and take all my test for me...plllllllllease? Pretty please? ;-)

Neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeena! What's up chicka LTNS! I was blessed to have an American black man teach me stats, but my luck ran out with Physics :-( Unfortunately this is my last required book class to get my degree so there is no dropping it. I've put it off as long as I could.

Sherlon, I am not much of a physics person...I love me some biology/anatomy/physiology but physics and higher level chemistry are not my friends! LOL I got a C in physics I and it is the most beautiful C I ever seen on my transcript! LOL!

BB, to be honest, if I can come out with a C or better I am more than good!

I'm sooo with you with them foreign professors. My math teacher Dr. Sow from Africa was hard as rock candy to understand - lol, but I did get an A. He's African - I'm African-American - I guess there's a bond there cuz I still don't understand the math.
