So what's next?

Now that the big ceremony is over what am I going to talk about now? LOL!

Well it's official that Pooka is changing daycares. Her first day will be January 5th. It felt so good to call and tell the gov't this morning that I no longer needed their help as far as daycare is concerned and that I wouldn't not be meeting with them to discuss my recertification. Pooka's 1st grade teachers assistant runs the program and when I told Pooka that she'd be hanging out with one of her favorite teachers she got very excited! That made me feel good too! :-)

I've sent in grad apps to UNC and Duke. I am currently getting serious about ECU and Elon. Todays focus was ECU and let me tell you their mess is so confusing I am halfway tempted not to apply. Basically you have to apply to the grad school and the program separately...no problem. You have to send certain things to one, certain things to the other, and some things to both...no problem. The problem is that one application contradicts the other and neither one can decide how they want it sent! So I have decided to send the same identical packet to both places with everything in it electronically and hard copy. That way I know that whomever has whatever they need from me in the form they want it. I shouldn't have to do that but I'll be darn if I don't get looked at because I sent something to the wrong place in the wrong format! LOL!

I have orientation for my homecare job tomorrow. I hope they can get me working on the 29th cuz I need another check coming in. I hope it's not long. Not that I have anywhere else to go tomorrow but I would prefer not to be there all day.

We are going to MD on Saturday which means I have one more week of being lazy. Since mom has been here she's been doing most the cooking, most the cleaning, and getting Pooka ready for school in the mornings! I like not having to do everything! Why she gotta go back home!!!! WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! LOL!

So far there are 3 ways I can possibly spend my New Years Eve. I can go to a possible get together a friend "may" have, hang with PartyGirl and her peeps at a new club, or stay at home and chill. At the moment, I really like the house party my friend may have or staying at the house. I really don't feel like being around all those folks or having to deal with the drive home while all the too drunk to drive folks are out and about. But....I haven't danced the night away in forever! So I don't know. We'll see!

I doubt if I'll go out this year. I will probably be at home on my couch passed out by the time the New Year comes in. lol

Glad you found a spot for Pooka where there will be someone that she has a good relationship. That has to help out alot. I know switching daycares for kids sometimes can make them miserable. I'm glad she's excited about it.

Have fun in MD. I wish I could go I haven't seen my eldest in a hot minute.

Yeay for lazy days. I have a few more of those left and I'm so lovin it.

I cant tell you the last time I did something for New years. What ever you decide I hope you have a blast.

Glad you found a better daycare option. That means you can give me some money and not cry broke. Yay me! LOL.

I looked up Elon and I still have no idea how they got the name for it or what it means. It's annoying me not knowing.

Hope you have fun doing whatever you plan to do to bring in the New Year.

Good luck with the orientation.

enjoy your last days of relaxation. i'm sooo looking forward to having mine after 3:25 pm on Friday! :-)

for New Year's, we'll probably do what we always do--- go to church. we usually do a nice New Year's Eve dinner/early breakfast after church and call it a day.

girl, every time i hear about teacher's assistants who actually work with the children, i'm in shock! lol...

I think I'm getting dragged to a club on New Years. I haven't been to a non strip club in years. I gotta see how to act in there.

Darius, At the moment the stay at home deal is winning...

Bella, I don't know cuz I've been talking about it for the last hundred weeks! LOL

Thanks!

ARgal, the year before last I think I was sleep too! I woke up to the sounds of gun shots, figured it was 1/1 and rolled back over.

Goddess, yeah smooth transitioning is important.

If you can find your way to Raleigh we got a space for you in the car :-)

I can not allow myself to get used to lazy days!

Freaky, I work part time which means I don't have extra money at the moment. So why don't you give me a million dollar loa...um gift? LOL!

What if they just liked the word Elon and named the school such. There may not be a meaning to find.

Kasandra, home is the safest and cheapest option.

Monique, I love that idea! Lil K's first NYE awwwwwwwwwwwww

BB, enjoy your 2 weeks w/o chirrin!

Tell those assistants at your school to step up! LOL!

Southern, go'n and party! Shake it for me too while you're out on the floor. LOL!

ROFL@ your lazy day! I know how that works!

Rashan, non strip clubs are easy for dudes. Find you a nice spot to chill, order you a nice drink, maybe hit a smooth 2 step on the floor, and observe the foolishness! LOL!
