"You got a minute?"

Soon as Babydaddy said that I knew that whatever he was about to say I wasn't going to like.

"Yeah, what's up?"

"Well.....they are cutting back my hours at work."

I knew where he was going. "Ummmm hmmmm"

"So I need to temporarily cut off the direct deposit"

After closing my eyes and taking a long silent deep breath, I nonchalantly said..."Okay"

I guess I caught him off guard cuz he was quiet for a few seconds then said something about something or another. I wasn't really listening. When he stopped talking I told him I understood times were hard for everyone.

*sigh*

So now it's time to rebudget. I hit my main bank online for guidance on where to start to replan.

*double sigh*

Seems as is my bank has charged me some wonderful overdraft fees, yeah plural, which are my fault. They will hit me with another fee tonight once my insurance goes through.

The money I got from Rusty won't cover it all.

At least the bills are paid and I have food in the kitchen.

Do I want to cry right now? Sure, but I won't. Life is a roller coaster, sometimes you are at the top, sometimes you are at the bottom. It's not like I haven't been in the red financially before. This will pass. But I must be honest I wish the upswing gets here soon.

Damn...

Life is tough all over. So instead of trying to tighten his belt by cutting down on unnecessary expenses the first thing he thinks is well let me stop supporting my daughter? Because well, that's an unnecessary expense and easily cut. *rolls eyes*

Yeah, most people are feeling the pinch :-(

I don't know if he is at his last resort or not to say if there was something else he could have done without. Wish I did so I could have brought it up as an alternative.

He can't send you nothing? That's not cool. I need to take after you and not get upset (well you don't seem like you are), cuz getting mad isn't gonna get you that money.

Ok, I'm going with Freaky's response this. He should have said I may need to cut back on the money and try to compensate for in other areas but not complete cut off. See, this is why I make sure I try to always keep money stashed in case my son's father decides he "doesn't want to do this anymore".

And you're right about crying; no sense in it because you still have to do what you have to do. You'll be ok. Look into a second job online at night.

Rashan, DAMN DAMN DAMN recession! Messing it up for every daggone body!

Kasandra, yep! Oh I was mad, I just went to the gym to get it out of me. :-)

Monique, I'll keep my fingers crossed that you'll never have to use your stash for that reason.

I've been looking for another job for awhile now. I am on with a caregiver service but they don't have a client that needs my services at the times I can provide it right now.

You handled that so well. We are all going through financial troubles, but we'll make it.
