Feeling kinda old

So I was on FB having an online mini elementary to high school reunion. I'm am looking at pix of their all grown up lives and I get a request from an old high school buddy. I confirm then check his page out and see that he is friends with someone by the name of my old high school band director, who is my favorite teacher EVER! So I click the name. The profile pic is of a band and he is mutual friends with a few of my old band mates. So I am thinking this GOT to be him! I send him a friend request and within seconds it's confirmed. I go to check his page out and low and behold it's HIS SON that has the same name! I cracked up laughing! I sent him a message saying something along the lines of "my bad, I thought you were your father." That message right there started the "old" feeling! *sigh*

I am keeping him as a friend because back in the day him and his brother would go on band trips with us and we used to mess with them a lot! LOL! I remember when we went to GA my band director tore his tail up for doing something he wasn't supposed too! HA! Ahhhh The good ole days!

That same little man that shares his fathers name is all grown up, graduated college and is following in his father's footstep's by being a band teacher/director. I swear he looks just like his dad back in the day!

I am feeling kinda old. I can't believe that lil boy from back then is a grown man now! I won't get started on his little brother! Looking at his page makes me feel even worse! HAHAHAHA!

My business partner (whom I went to elementary school with) just promoted his daughter as our office manager.

Damn.

I was in Savannah for my mom's husbands funeral... this young lady walked up on me and said hi... I didn't recognize her, but she looked kinda familiar. Turns out she was the daughter of a girl I went to high school with. 18 years old. I was like... I am getting old for real.

Cheer up when Pooka's friend's start introducing you to their kids then I'll buy you a drink. LOL. Seriously though once you hit north of 30 those moments will happen to you so often that you'll start to wonder if someone is messing with you on purpose.

I feel the same way when I get FB requests from folks I only remember when they were kids or when I go back home. Just got a friend request from one of my friend's cousin. I remember when she was just a snotty nose lil girl. She's now married with a child. Had me feeling some kind of way. lol

First, I remember a certain someone who said they refused to get into FB. what happened to just logging on and off? now you're adding friends, looking at pics, etc. I knew you'd give in. LOL!

i'm FB friends w/ several church members. a lot of them have kids in college and i remember them when they were just born or little bitty kids. it is a strange feeling, indeed.

I was trying to avoid FB like the plague! I blame ELON! If it wasn't for them I would still be account free! Darn school! LOL!

Several of my high school classmates had kids while in high school (some before then). Most of their children are close to being legal (some of them already are). Crazy!!!
