I love my career choice

So for pass/fail seminar class I had to go learn about something indirectly related to PT. I chose orthotics and prosthetics. This morning I went and hung out at a local foot center. I mean ANY type of person that does work with feet were in that building...from a podiatrist to a pedicurist! The place was nice and everyone I met was very sweet.

So I go in, get the tour, meet the staff, play with some machines, and all that good stuff. I end my observation walking around with the podiatrist and the chick that makes custom prosthetics and orthotics (there is a name for her but I don't recall it at the moment). We are parlaying back and forth and I am feeling kinda smart because I am holding up my end of the conversation with ease. Then the podiatrist asked when I graduated because their current physical therapist is moving on to another facility soon. I told him and he looked sad and said that I seemed to really know my stuff and that they could really use someone like me there. *collar pop* I wish I was done with school and done with my board exam! UGH!!!!!! Him and the lady gave me their cards and told me if I needed to use them as a reference or needed them for anything to call or email them! They just met me! I wasn't there very long and they were just offering stuff left and right! LOVE IT!

Now that's what I call favor!!!!!!!

*feeling really good right about now*

I bet your Rolodex is getting good and full. Do people even use those anymore? At any rate, you are making great connections. The world is and will continue to be your oyster when graduation time comes.
