About time!

It's about time Friday got here! This was a 4 day work week and it just drrrrrrrrragged on. I am ready for another weeks vacation minus the weight gain. LOL Speaking of vacation I need to get on the ball and start the passport process. The Grand Diva (my grandma), her kids, and grandkids (minus the 2 military grandkids) are supposed to be going to Jamaica for Grand Diva's birthday! I am kinda excited cuz I've never been. Neither has my mom or grandma! This is part of my plan to get out of NC in 07 plan. There are so many places I want to go and so many people I want to see. I really gotta try and budget my money right so I can do the most I can.

This weekend will be spent cleaning, mainly washing clothes. I don't know how 2 people can rack up so much clothes! I did make it my mission to complete the process...wash, dry, fold, put away. I always get to the fold part then leave them on my bed :-( really must get better about that. Dressers are there for a reason!

I may venture out to the thrift store and hopefully find Pooka a good sturdy cheap bookcase. Her book collection is starting to grow and the way I stack them now is not going to work anymore. Maybe my daughter will have a strong love for books. She likes to read now but once she gets too many 4 and 5 letter words she is ready to quit. :-( We're working on it.

I even have the thought of hitting the trail up this weekend. Sad to say I haven't been in ages. To think once upon a time I was walking on that trail every week faithfully to the point I was going to start jogging! Back when I was much lighter. I remember blogging about it the day before my jog and Dizyaboy (awwww remember him?)being excited for me. That jog never came...I hope the trail doesn't beat my butt for being way out of routine. I hope the wild life is at bay. I hope it isn't too too crowded with the "Imma lose a million pounds by the summer folks". I hope Pooka is up to walking with me that distance. I used to push her in a stroller back in the day, but she is way to big now to be pushed around. I may just break the stroller out anyways and look like a fool *shrug* That is, if I really get up and make this thought to get out there for real. Lord knows I need to. We'll see.

Other than that I am washing and twisting the hair...oh I am so looking forward to that *sigh and eyeroll*

I have the most exciting weekends!!!! ROFL

Please pray for the family of Denita Smith. She was found dead not to far off NCCU's campus in her living complex in the stairwell laying in her own blood. I did not know her personally but her face is familiar to me.

Also pray that my upper management approves my new schedule. They have had it for a long time and they still haven't got back to me. Classes start Monday so I need a yes or no by today. I just went to my immediate supervisor and gave her a friendly reminder and requested my time off for spring break. *sigh*

I have to was and twist my hair too. I am starting to regret cutting my hair and going natural. But hey its just hair and will be back before I know it. That family is in my prayers.

You can do it. You can get on that trail and walk it out.

Okay okay you were right, but I still gotta sit here till 5:30! LOL

Girl I didn't know you had twist! Sweet! Why are you having regrets? Whatever you do please don't relax your hair, please.

That whole Denita thing hurt my feelings a little. She was only 25, just bout finished her masters and just got engaged :-(

It's supposed to be a nice day tomorrow so that will be more motivation to throw my sweats on and get ta steppin'.

Jamaica? :o( Why do I think you're going to have to be dragged kicking and screaming off that island? Someone should warn all of them that you're coming.

That bed should be put to better use than displaying your clothes.

Sorry to hear about the student that died.

I hope your schedule gets approved.

Yep Jamaica! If I get attached to the island I'd just save up money to go again, preferably with someone/some folks I am not related to...

Got any ideas for my bed? What? I value your opinion, that's all! ;-P

Me too on both accounts.

hey! I have been reading your blogs every once in awhile, but usually by the time I get to them they are a week or so old and I just assume you won't get the comment I leave! I hope you get the schedule you want!

I think if you pulled my leg I might have a couple of ideas for your bed.

First you could bend over while...blah, blah, blah, and then you could have one leg hanging off the bed and the other...yadda, yadda, yadda. Wow, I think I need a cigarette and I don't even smoke. LOL!

Once you get familiar with that old trail again it will be a piece of cake. They can't help but to approve your schedule. I'll keep that young lady in my prayers that is to bad. Your weekend sounds like a whole heep of fun!!! LOL

Either way enjoy it!

Thank you Nikki! :-D

I swear, the things we endure to be natural black queens! UGH! LOL

J, I got to get on it a few times for that to happen and that's the hard part! LOL

Upper management still can say no, tho' I doubt it, one class requires me to be out of the office during a crucial time at my job. That is my only concern.

My weekends are always a barrel of fun! LOL

Honey, THAT'S IT! I like that song, it's a chill out head bopper!

TTD, why can't none of us complete the process in one swoop? hahahahahahah too funny!

Stop thinking negative silly;)

I'm am, I just got concerns.

Hahahahahaha. I am really starting to think our generation doesn't finish the clothes washing process! HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!

Dizyaboy...who that be? Heh..I think I vaguely remember him.

I'll keep Denita's family in my prayers. It is a shame.

The hardest part to getting back to a fitness regimen is taking that first step. Once you do that, it's all gravy from there. At least that's what I was told...*LOL*.

I'm with you on the traveling thing. I've done a lot of it fortunately but it is time for me to branch out into international traveling. We'll see how that goes.

i had a dream the other night that i was going to the Dominican Republic and i was in a panice because i didn't have my passport. hmmm... i wonder if that's a sign i need to get one?

well, i need to wash and twist and roll my hair this weekend too. at least i'll know i'll have some company!

good luck w/ the return to the trail.

Ladynay said...

Yeah that first step will go down Sunday...maybe. LOL

Shoot I am just trying to get the US covered first, Jamaica is a bonus for me. Where across sea's would you go?

BB, it's never a bad idea to have a passport. From what I hear as time goes on it's gonna get harder and harder to get one. *shrug*

Yep, we're haveing one big ole twisting party in various states! LOL

Girl I SO wanna go to Jamaica. I know you are going to have a blast. Good look with the school and hopefully the job doesn't trip on you at the last minute.

That is horrible news about the young Smith woman. When I hear things like this it just makes my heart feel so heavy. I pray for her spirit and her family as well.

I know you need somewhere like Jamaica right about now. Every time I turn on the news or get online I see how Denver got hit with yet another snow storm!

Stories like that do hurt your heart. I know they are going to have mad tight security on campus for awhile. This should prove interesting.
