A possible step forward

Yesterday I got a voicemail from the local hospital asking me if I was still interested in a volunteer program I applied for many many moons ago. I applied back when I wanted a complete out of my job and I wanted to do more things to help me get into my career. I need some health care experience and with me not having any I gotta do some free work. Anywho, by time I got the message the office was closed.

I called them back today a few minutes after they said they were available and got set up for an interview. An interview? Yeah, and interview. Doing volunteer work at this hospital requires you to go through a process similar to getting a job! LOL So I got set up for an interview on Thursday, 11/29 @2pm. I reeeeeeeeeally need to start getting my experience in, but part of me is very scared. It's like OMG, I am really about to possibly start from the ground floor doing what I want to retire doing! Jeez!

There are only 2 bad things about this chance:

1) I may not get the "position" and
2) All my bad interview suits/outfits are too small at the moment. I am not trying to go up in there looking like a stuffed sausage and I don't have the $ to go buy something. I may have to go more business casual than business *sigh*

Ladykat may have something you can wear that is more business. Ask her.

Be confident in what you know and pursue that line, without being a pain know-it-all like me. Just think you are prepared for the job you want.
Ask questions. Show interest. Be yoru genuine self.

I am positive you'll get that job.

I saw show up naked. I'm sure someone will find a position that needs to be filled even if it isn't for the volunteer program. ;o) What?
