That is, if things go the way I think they will. I wanted to do like Mel over on the right and do a cool 2007 review of my year last night, but my lovely phone service is acting up and I have dial up. Hush! Don't judge me! 5 bucks a month is a great price for checking your email and reading blogs when you want. I don't get mad if the screen don't change as soon as I hit the button! LOL I am going to have no choice but to upgrade very soon cuz the price will jump to like 20 bucks in the very near future. If I am going to pay in the double digits for internet I may as well have faster service! But anyways, if you call me today it will give you the message that I am on the phone or internet. *shrug* Phone is fixed! YAY!
Using my handy dandy cell phone I called myself to check my messages. My mom is the queen of Christmas shows and cartoons so if one is coming on I will get a call the day before and a call the next day to make sure Pooka and I are watching. She does aunt Diva the same way and we we're talking about that the other night! What makes it even funnier is my mother doesn't really supposed to celebrate Christmas for religous reasons! My mom be cheating like Ionno what@! ROFL ! There was a message from Babydaddy telling me his van was stolen! *sigh* So that basically means I and/or mom will have to transport Pooka to and from his place when we are up there. He didn't say much on the voicemail and I don't have that many minutes on my cell to have a story told so I am really curious into what happened. Guess I'll find out today if they fix my phone. I put in a repair ticket and the automated system said they should have the problem resolved by 6pm today. We'll see.
Between today when I get off work and tomorrow about 12 noon when I hit the road I have a ton of stuff to do. Yah know, like pack for me and the kid! LOL I always seem to do it at the last minute. Gotta get out of that habit, really. A lot of the clothes I want to wear are dirty so Imma wash them tonight and take them to the laundromat to dry in the morning...then get my hair maintenanced...then hit the road. I am mainly typing this out so I can get some kind of order in my head.
At first I was going to use my holiday vacation to try and visit a lot of folks, but I changed my mind. I'm going home, going to my old room or the basement, getting in the bed, and going to sleep!!!! Mommy and grand diva are already anxiously awaiting the arrival of Pooka so they can do what grandmothers do and I am sho' gon' let 'em have at her while I watch the back of my eyelids! ROFL!
Anywho. If you are traveling for the holidays please be safe and watch out for the people who've had too much grown folks eggnog and think they can drive and for the other crazy people out there.
Give someone you love a hug, kiss, and vocalize your love for them!
Bring in the new calendar year with a bang! Next week people who will have net access, unlike me, will be posting resolutions. Mine is the same. I want to be a better me in all aspects. Given that 2008 is my year of transitions I see that one coming to pass without fail!
Happy holidays and thanks for coming by!
It's quarter to 12 and I got to work a little b4 7am. I've done about 5 minutes of work so far, my mind is already on vacation!
I just learned that one of my coworkers used to play guitar for Cheryl Lynn and Shalamar back in the 80's! WOW!
One coworker brought us Papa Johns pizza for lunch. PJ's is not my first choice for pizza but when your other option is Ramen...it's grrrrrrrrrrreat stuff! LOL
My supervisor brought me a pair of silver earrings and it was just the sweetest thing! She must have observed the fact that 98% of the time I wear silver hoops! I have a pair of black dangly ones and some green circle types ones that I wear when the outfit calls for it. But OMG! That was soooooooo nice of her! Something told me to open the gift before I left work and I am glad I did so I could thank her. By next year I would not have remembered and the excitement would not have been as high.
The entire office has slacked off today. I've done about 2 hours of work in total. I am hoping at 5 my admin will come around and tell everyone to go home like she usually does. For most 5 is the regular time to get off, but I stay till 6. My deputy, who is the highest ranked person in the building sits across the hall from me. Every time he walks out his office he sees my screen on everything except work related stuff! Do I care? I should, but don't! Earlier today he even said that he hopes everyone comes back refreshed and ready to work. So yeah upper level staff know what the deal is! 3/4th of the staff left after lunch! ROFL
I think that's all the amendments I have! LOL
