Played hooky Friday for Super Kids aka Field Day and Beach Day!

Pic 1. These are 2 girls I have dubbed "club closers" cuz these girls were dancing almost the whole time the music was playing, heat and all! They will be closing clubs in the next 11 years! Gon' girls! I tried not to spotlight any one's children on my blog without permission but these girls were doing there thing! LOL
Pic 2. Pooka's teacher getting "dunked" by the Gusher during Super Kids Day
Pic 3. 1st graders catching some sun. Don't worry they had ways to keep cool.
Pic 4&5. Pooka's class was the only class to go inside to eat. Thank you Jesus! It was HAAAAAWT outside!
Pic 6. Pooka's teacher assistant and some first graders get their electric slide on...yeah electric slide!
Clip 1. While recouping from my symptoms of heat syncope one of Pooka's classmates asked one of the teachers to play the cha cha slide. This stuck me odd cuz this little girl is one of Pooka's ahem "lighter" friends whose parents I have met and I didn't get the feeling the family did the Cha Cha slide...so the teacher says okay and after the cd that was playing played through she changed it to the Cha Cha slide. OMG! When the song came on the kids went CRAZYYYYY! Come to find out the PE teacher and the music teachers have the kids do line dancing, which includes the electric and cha cha slide, in class sometimes! Everyday when I ask Pooka what she did in school she NEVER said she did the electric or cha cha slide! LOL! I didn't catch the uproar on tape but I did catch them flocking to the dance area to do it! I had to cut the video off before the song ended cuz one of the babies got a splinter and came to me to get it out!
Clip 2. Every 10-15 minutes a teacher would spray the kids down with a hose. Just thought it was cute enough to share the kids going nuts! :-)
That's just a small portion of my day Friday. I took a million pix put I am not about to put them all up! It started at 8:30am and ended at 2. Trust me when I say, when I got home I was completely drained and ill!
Today is Kung Fu Panda in IMAX!
I'll try and do the read blog thing tomorrow! YAY!

Can I get the video with you dancing around in the thong? I know you conveniently forgot to post that part of the video.

The kids looked like they were having fun. You're a good one.

They could've made the dunker bucket bigger. The heat should've evaporated that water before it even got her wet with that little bucket. LOL

You didn't invite me to see Kung Fu Panda. :o(

Hmm... while looking at these pics, I couldn't help but notice. That Pooka like myself, around that age in school, has a lot of "lighter" kids in her class...which leads me to think she has a lot of "lighter" kids in her school.
And who are we kidding, they white, caucasian, the other white meat. I know that the P.E. teachers in the majority white schools, in my county growing up, loved the electric slide. We use to do it all the time. I actually learned in when I went to the majority white public schools, instead of the all black private school I went to first.

As I got older and realized that the electric slide was a staple in the black communtiy especially family reunions, BBQ's, weddings, and hell probably a funeral or two...well maybe not a funeral, but definetely the wake. I didn't understand why I learned it in the more white school than the black school.

What's this I hear about a thong, did you end up wearing the thong. Lets see the pics on that.

The pole vid...I mean there is no conveniently lost video! LOL

It's part of my mommy duties to roast in the sun to participate in school stuff!

LOL! They had to get every 1st grader wet so the bucket couldn't be so big. Besides, every other event out of 14 was something dealing with water.

Would you like to see Kung Fu Panda with me if I go back to see it? It would be worth paying again to see it :-) You must pay in gas, cash, or ass! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

YB&DL, the majority of her school is white, but looking at the first graders as a whole there where a lot more black children than I thought. I was just used to seeing her class which up until a month ago there was only 2 chocolate children, now there is 3.

I went to a "black" school most of my life and I don't EVER recall doing the electric slide! What's up with that?

What's a thong? ;-P

Kat, them babies were getting it to a bunch of songs! I had a good time, glad I took the day off of work and school to be there.

Yes, I would. I'd love it if it was your treat too and included popcorn and a drink. :oD Gas is too expensive. I'm also cheap so giving you any of my money doesn't really work for me. *sigh* Guess it's going to be ass. Please be gentle with me okay?

Gentle? I know not the meaning of gentle! HAHAHAHAHAHA

Those kids had me gigglin during the cha cha slide. They have the hops and the stomps down! lol

I'm glad you and Miss Pooka had a good time.

Yep, that sounds like a good time to me, although there is NO WAY I would have lasted the WHOLE day.

LOL at itty bitty kids knowing the cha cha slide. That's too cute.

We saw Kung Fu Panda yesterday and let me just say I loved it. It was better than I expected. Hope you guys have a good time
