Looks like Sunday is my day

Let's see what's happened this week...

Took the GRE, the test itself wasn't as hard as I was expecting, but the timing messed me up. I am not a fast reader when it comes to things that I need to really read vs. scan and get the gist of what folks are saying. So when I got the questions where you read a passage and answers questions about the passage I took more time than I should have and had to fly through the other non reading parts of the verbal portion. I scored ight. We will see if I can get into PT without having to pay and take it over again.

One of the schools I may apply to is Howard U in DC. They don't even ask for a GRE score for their PT school! YAY! However, some of the prereq's have to have been taken in the last 7 years. I know for a fact I took basic biology over 7 years ago. I've taken higher levels of bio in the appropriate time frame so I have to call up there and see if I could swap basic for the advanced version and have it count. If they are strict about it and say it has to be basic bio, I am NOT taking it again just for them and I'll apply to 3 schools vs. 4.

The aquatic training thing has been going okay. I want my subject to hit better numbers. I am working on how to achieve that.

The caregiver job hasn't called me to start yet. I am still throwing my resume around. Fortunately, I arranged things in a manner that if the caregiver job screws me over my major bills are covered.

Pooka and I have been sick lately. I guess people call it a head cold. It hasn't been fun, both Pooka and I more well than sick at the moment which is progress. Pooka has also advanced to adult medication. No more children's cold medicine in a separate bottle for her! I saw on the bottle I picked up that children 6-12 could take it so that's the only bottle I brought! LOL! Pooka sadly said goodbye to the yummy bubblegum, grape and cherry flavored stuff! When I gave her her dose of meds her face squinted up. I laughed internally as I went to get her something to wash the taste out her mouth. :-)

"Working" at the hospital has been fun. I went with the speech therapist last week and witnessed her give a feed test. This is where she sticks a tube with a camera at the end up someones nose and down their throat, then gives them things of different viscositys to eat and drink. The results of the test determines all sorts of cool things. Very interesting, but it just let me know I didn't want to be that kind of therapist! LOL!

Mentally I have not been feeling my best. The cause of it is the same ole stuff so I know it will go away soon (school, weight, fear of the unknown, illness, etc...).

Physically I am mmmmmm okay I guess.

Emotionally I am kinda whatever.

My spirit is level.

That's about it.

I'm sure you knocked the GRE out the box.

I've been a little gloomy too. We will get through this.

You so mean! Give the baby the good tasting stuff. x( They make some flavoring that you can't put into medicines to make it taste better. Certain pharmacy will mix in flavors for you upon request.

I wouldn't retake an intro biology class either just for one school.

Torrance, If the unoffical score the computer gave after I was done was any clue to how I did...I did "ight". Not bad, not great.

Argal, Thanks hopefull we will be 100% by tomorrow or the day after.

Southern, we have too. There isn't another logical choice.

Freaky, she think she grown so she can have the grown up cold meds! LOL!

Thanks Tasha! I hope were 100% real soon.

Darius, yeah they are no fun at all :-( I swore I was going to cough up an organ on day!
