Friday, March 6th

I will get a phone call. More likely than not I will be working my industrial rehab job when the call comes. It will be from Elon University. They will tell me I am accepted, on the alternate list, or not accepted. Now that the interview is over I will say that the very important interview was with Elon's Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program. This interview was very important because I strongly believe this will be my only chance this cycle of getting into a PT school. At the last minute I did not complete my documentation for East Carolina, UNC did not accept me, Duke hasn't said anything, and Elon well, I interviewed.

With Lsbnmom helping me by taking Pooka to school this morning I was able to get to the interview early. I was the first one there. YAY! There were ladies there that did not have on suits. One blond woman wore a black and white polka dot shirt that had the belt that fastened under the bust line. Really? It was cute, but not interview cute. The other ladies where dressed nicely and all the men were suited up. There was one guy from Brooklyn, NY with clear blue eyes, dark hair, dark features, and simply gorgeous! We both need to get in and he needs to be in my group! LOL! I can't really gauge if the interview went well or not because everyone is nice, friendly, and smiles a lot. I think they do it on purpose to throw us "potentials" off track.

During the group interview we were hit with a 10 minute writing assessment. OMG!!!!!! There is NOTHING on the website or in the packet they mail you telling you about the 10 minute writing portion of the interview!!!!! I did my best with what was given to me.

In hindsight, I wish I had answered one of the questions differently and I wish I made more eye contact during my personal interview. There is a belief that if someone doesn't look you in the eye, they are lying. I wasn't lying in my responses, it's just hard for me to look at people when I speak. I really need to break that habit.

During the group portion we were told that our individual interviews would be with the founder of the DPT program and another faculty member. They do not look at anyones application and documentation pre interview because what they are trying to gauge is your personality. Just by being there the interview staff knows that we have what it takes to be there on paper. With that information I went into the room as myself. I was calm for about 95% of the interview. We laughed a lot which I don't know if it was good or bad. I said "Ummm" too much for my liking but they didn't write anything down as the word came out my mouth. I think it went well but everyone thought it went well so again, it's hard to gauge.

The last portion of the half day interview was eating lunch with some of the graduating class. I treated this as another interview of sorts and was myself. I asked questions, acted lively, and smiled a lot. As I got in my car to drive off I felt good. The graduate admissions staff said there were about 300 applicants, 80 got interviews (even though I read that they give interviews to all that qualify), and they have 38 seats. They would not say how many seats remain unfilled at this point. The founder of the DPT program stated that we should not be discouraged if we make the alternate list which kinda implied to me that they did not have many open slots left if any at all. *shrug* We'll see what my graduate school fate is on the Friday after next.

In totally unrelated news. I am the only person in Raleigh to own this shirt right chea'

I brought this from a blogger that goes by the name of....

If you can't see it, it says BossMack as in BossMack TopSoil. I been telling myself I was going to support his hustle since he launched his clothing line, but never got to it until recently. I am loving my shirt, I got me some Cali flavor in my closet now! :-) Now if another blogger would figure out a way to ship some homemade peach cobbler cupcakes I've been drooling for since he mentioned them, I could support his hustle too. I am not calling out any names *coughcoughDariuscoughcough*

See, I don't know how much of that is true due to what I read on their website which said that every applicant that met the requirements would get an interview. At this point it don't matter, the interview is behind me regardless.

No problem, soon as you take a pic with Sexy Chocolate Papi I'll take one with one with Brooklyn Blue Eyes ;-P

Good luck! Thank you for motivating me to get my life together, come off the bullshit and finish my degree!!!

Boo at not completing your documentation for East Carolina! Fuck UNC! Duke better get on the ball or they can join UNC. <_<

I'll probably be at the movies watching Watchmen when you get your decision. :oD I'm sure you'll do well. I'll keep the fingers on one hand crossed and a brick in the other hand, just in case.

Well, I'm trying out my hat at directing porn. Since you're being so supportive of bloggers why don't you support your favorite and come out to Freaky Deaky's Open Call Casting Couch Asstravaganza. You can even pick your audition time if you e-mail me by the end of the day.

I'm crossing my fingers that you get in.

I've been interviewing at my job for almost 3 yrs. 3 out of 4 people are not in suits. More people are dressing business casual for interviews.

I'll join the Nervous Nellies. I can't stand waiting but have no choice. I hope that everything turns out in your favor.

Tasha, thank you for your prayers and positive energy.

Rashan, nope it's won't be too much longer till they offer me my seat.

D, I may. I need to get out of town soon. I need the when and where's again.

Heeeeeeeeeeeey Trent! You have such a busy life going. School isn't going anywhere no time soon.

People with drive and determination to reach towards their dreams excite me and if doing my part can help those people get closer to that dream faster so be it.

I am loving the images I'm getting of celebratory glitter and sprinkles falling on my head :-)

FD, Can you believe that they are not showing Watchmen in IMAX at my local IMAX theater!!!! UGH! That doesn't make me happy! :-(

So do I wear the glitter or glow in the dark thongs? *wink wink*

Southern, thanks.

I guess it's a sign of the times, but from what I read online the best choice is the conservative suit.

ARgal, things will work in my favor. The seat is mine,I claim it. All I need is the reminder from the school on the 6th.
