STOMP

I have sat here for the last few minutes trying to figure out what I can say about the show last night. Like the other shows I've seen, this one was great. Them jokers beat, slammed, clapped, stomped and everything else on anything remotely imaginable making some rhythms that you couldn't help but move to. I mean they had a segment when one person had a grocery bag, one had a transparent shipping bag of sorts and the other had a brown paper lunch bag....and they ripped it up! I was like no they are not jammin' like this with some bags! LOL! I was impressed!

The show appealed to the old marching band, step team, and DC/go-go Ladynay all at the same time.

Also like the other shows at the performing arts center, there were people in jeans.....a lot of people in jeans. Is there a fashion rule that says that's wrong or am I missing something? Pooka was dressed so nice in a sparkly black skirt outfit and I had on a nice blouse and slacks.

I really don't know what else to say about it but it's a non intermission show that is worth the time an money to go see :-)

But in case for some reason you have never heard of STOMP, this is what a segment looks like. The segment I saw had similar stuff but it was a different routine.

This was actually in the show last night, but with different people...

This was in the show too...

So was this with a slightly different rhythm. The beginning is the same but the middle had a more go go feel to it? Junkyard band anyone?

They don't have the bag segment or newspaper segment which I really liked on You Tube :-(

Did all the clatter and noise give you a headache? Did you wish you had earplugs?

I can kind of see what you're saying about people looking bummy as hell but I also don't see people were their finest threads to see people making music with bags and trash cans.

Was a thong part of your ensemble?

I'm assuming you and Pooka enjoyed it. Glad you two had fun. So what's the next big show for you?

If they come to town it's worth it Southern :-)

FD, No they show was loud but not headache loud. No need for earplugs like the Monster Truck show.

Nah I wasn't trying to say to wear your Sunday best, but I think if you are going to any type of performing arts center you should wear something at least one level above jeans.

Nope, lol!

We had a blast. Next up in May is Bob the Builder. Can we fix it? YES WE CAN!!!!!
