According to my boyfriend I have this and had it for quite some time. Somniloquy is the term used to describe people who talk in their sleep. When it is brought to my attention I am usually just curious about what I said. From what I understand, more often than not I can not be understood when I do it. This leaves Snookums to go "huh" wanting me to repeat myself and me not respond. Recently I apparently wanted to talk about music during my slumber, but the conversation didn't remain as clear on my end as the verbal exchange went on. *shrug*
So weird! What if one day I admit to killing Roger Rabbit in my sleep??? LOL! I joke, but it does scare me that I have no control over what I may say in my sleep and when I wake up I'd have no clue I said anything!
I've been reading different sites that talk about somniloquy and I think mine is harmless and not a sign of a more serious medical issue. For that I am happy.

My male best friend talks in his sleep. Nine times out of ten it's about turkey. I don't know why but he just starts talking about putting turkeys in the oven and cooking them. Come to think of it I really, really hope that isn't some type of perverted metaphor for sex. He almost never remembers talking about it.
Maybe your Snookums needs to ask you some questions next time you do it and see what he can get you to reveal.

YOu crazy girl. LOL Unfortunately I talk and walk in my sleep. I hold nice long conversations. My mother says I have been doing it since I was 5. D said it upset him at first because he thought I was picking fights. Took him a minute to realize I was sleep. The only bad part about it I admit everything in my sleep. SO if Im mad when I go to sleep............... he knows why before I wake up! LMAO
