One man I would have loved to meet/That makes 3

I saw a show about this man's life a long time ago and was in awe. This is Kim Peek and he is the inspiration behind the Rain Man movie! This man was AWESOME! I would have enjoyed our paths crossing at some point. He passed from a heart attack. May he rest in peace.
Alaina Reed Hall a.k.a Olivia from Sesame Street a.k.a Rose from 227 lost a battle with breast cancer. May she rest in peace.
Brittney Murphy, I knew of her from Happy Feet. They are holding out on what took her life right now and the rumors are varied. That makes 3.

I hadn't heard about Kim Peek dying. I'll have to look it up later.

I didn't realize so many people even knew who Brittney Murphy was or cared. Hopefully there isn't another upswing in celebrity deaths before the end of the year.

R.I.P.

FD, Yep, he's gone :-(

I wouldn't have known Ms. Murphy if I did't look up the voices of Happy Feet after watching it a few dozen time with Pooka and being curious back in the day.

ARgal, I am saying! Folks are consistantly getting up out of here!

I wonder if people actually cared about these (and the other this year)people before they died. They got nothing more than a "huh" from me. I don't know them like that to be sad

Rashan, I don't think folks outside of those that personally knew them truly cared about these folks in life to care about them in death.

I am just sad that I won't have the opportunity to meet Mr. Peek. I did't care to meet the other 2.

I was sad to hear about both Alaina and Britney. They and Mr. Peek are not as high profile as Michael Jackson or even Farrah but I'll always remember sweet Rose from 227. I may have to add 227 to my rental queue since I haven't seen the show in a while...and I can never forget Britney "Rolling With The Homies" song on Clueless. I have the DVD so I'll have to watch the movie.
