Mom finally had her surgery for her leg yesterday. Everything is all patched up now. I called her when I got home and she was still pretty heavy under the influence of the surgery meds so the conversation was interesting to say the least! LOL! She should be able to come home this weekend. I am going up to visit for Memorial Day weekend. It serves a double purpose. I get to see my mom post surgery and I get to drop Pooka off so she can go with her dad to NY to see her paternal side of the family. She has seen pics of them but she doesn't know them and she was very young when she last seen them so hopefully she can start making lasting connections with that side of her family.
I am chilling. For the last 2 days I felt like someone has punched me in the left eye. Meds, food, rest, nothing helps. Great! I woke up a little before 3am this morning and was up. I didn't get sleepy again until 3o minutes before it was time for me and Pooka to get up. I have already started to pay for it.
My birthday is a bit over 2 months away. Since it's a milestone birthday I would like to do something special. I have been playing with some ideas lately but I have to settle on something soon because the later I book something the more it's gonna cost.
I'll figure something out I guess.
I'm just glad it's Friday.

This isn't the first time you've blogged about an eye problem as I recall. You should get that checked out.
Get a tattoo for your birthday in another state and then get wasted. Well, that's the first thing I thought of on short notice.

Man, i havent been blogging so I didn't see what happened until just now. i pray that she heals quickly.
